Re: Nikon hath sinned against me
For an inexpensive scope, I finally listened to a couple of people that shoot more than I do, I finally caved when I saw these on sale. Kicker is a $20 rebate as well. So, for $100, I bought one. My ONLY complaint - does not have turrets. Does have finger adjustable turrets, but I like turrets that ...

Re: My awesome new stock blew apart my groups...
I still bed the actions in any stock, regardless of what the stock is made out of.
Buddy of my had a Rem 308 in an HS stock, he was rather surprised that his action was still moving in his stock. Rather apparent when we removed the action and he could see the marks on his action and stock.

Re: My awesome new stock blew apart my groups...
Thanks for the help. I'll try backing off & working up. It'd blow my mind if the screw tightness would do that. Ryutzy, there's only two screws holding the action in, and it's to an aluminum block. Also, I started at 25lbs, then alternated the screws as I worked up to 65lbs. 25 POUNDS or 65 POU...

Re: Shipping guns
Shipping box trick #1.
Most, but not all, rifle boxes can be disassembled and turned inside out.
No printing on the box telling somebody, "steal me".........works good.

Re: ND PD Hunt on 8-9-2011--photos
SilverFox, Great field report. Thanks for keeping us in the dogs. I have been out twice. The grass is SUPER high here and the numbers of PD's is 20% of normal. Evidently there is new rules on the poison, application, transport, storage, and licensing.....so the farmers and ranchers hit it hard last ...

BCB,
THAT is a righteous rifle.
Can only guess that the number built is ultra low.
Great find....truly great find.

Re: Moly vs no moly powder charge
WS2/Danzac is better than Moly. Does not build up in the bore, but can attract moisture.
HBN - hexagonal boron nitride does not build up in the bore and does not attract moisture.
Either of the above can be easily applied at home with your tumbler.
