3rd Annual Trip To Co.

Here is a few pictures of my latest trip to shoot PD's. I hope a little carnage is still ok on this forum. I still have 2 more days of shooting if the weather stays good. Re: 204 at 600 yards?

About a year or so ago, with my Dtech AR with a 1/9 twist Shilen barrel in .204, using 50 grain Bergers I got lucky with the wind and shot a 200 out of a possible 200 (points) at 600 yds. I was shooting at the target with the 6 in. bull. I was shooting with some guys that were shooting iron sights ...

Re: Want to keep that nice AR?

I just sent a email to the one democrat senator that I am unsure of. Most of our legislators and senators are pro gun here in Louisiana thank goodness. But you guys in other states that have anti-gun people in congress need to work on them real hard or what Rick says will happen.

Re: AR-15 in .204

The advice above from Rick in Oregon is good. I have noted many forum posters conveying that their rifles tended to not shoot 40 grain bullets as well as lighter ones. Further, I believe that DPMS, who makes an AR in .204, which I believe, has a 1 in 12 twist, specifically states that bullets heavi...

What primer are you using? I finally found some 39 gr. Bilitzkings on-line. Hopefully I'll have them next week.
Thanks again,
OtH
I am using CCI BR4's. Good luck.

Re: AR-15 in .204

joghotrod, I know this is jumping the post but I see you have a Ruger Mod. 77 MK II also. I'm interrested on what you came up with for load data. You can post here or e-mail me @ tmdukes@msn.com. Thanks, OtH I bought this rifle used from a member here and he worked up the load. It is 27.7 grains of...

Re: Coyotes have a tough weekend on the prairie

Way to go Steve. I got a email from your BIL and he said you wouldn't let him shoot any. Sounds like you had fun for sure. What kind of temp did you have that weekend? It looks real mild. It has been hot here in Louisiana the last few days, but it is getting cold again today.

Re: My first .204

Now you have gone and done it! You will have to order at least 1 or 2 more uppers. It is like a drug addiction. I barely got through my first prairie dog shooting trip before I ordered a second Dtech .204 upper with a different twist. I also have a 6BR upper from Mike. I had to quit before my wife g...

Re: Is the 39gr Sierra Blitzking really the magic bullet?

I use 27.5 grains of H 4895 in my 24 in. barreled AR and get about 3800 FPS with the 39 SBK. I don't think it being an AR causes it to lose much velocity. I use almost the same load im my Ruger bolt gun and get the same velocity. Maybe you need more powder?

Re: AR ?

I have 2 .204 uppers for the AR 15. They were built by Dtech http://www.dtechsuperstore.com.

They are reasonably priced and very accurate.
