Re: RIP Maggie
Here's a little something for us dog lovers. A PET'S TEN COMMANDMENTS......... 1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful. 2. Give me time to understand what you want of me. 3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being. 4. Don't be angry w...

Re: Whats the go to powder??
Lots of powders out there for the .204. I think Benchmark,H4895 and RE10X might be the "go-to" powders. But that's only 3 out of about 10 that forum members might consider to be "go-to" powders. Hmmm......Probably more then 10!!

Re: 243 Load Data
I have lots of 100gr data but none for the Remington Core-Lokt. I had my nose in all my manuals the past few weeks looking at .243 data, and none list the Core-Lokt. To be honest , I don't think I ever saw data for them in any manual old or new

Re: Buddy joins the ranks of manhood
Rick ....The first bunny fed my pet fox. No sense shooting fox with fur being worthless this year. Today's got claimed by a guy at work. After the first kill, he put in dibbs on the next. Probably good eatin because their grain fed, or bird seed fed. Today's rabbit got smuggled in also. I leave the ...

Re: Buddy joins the ranks of manhood
I've been reduced to sleep on 3 square feet out of about 80. And still take the risk of getting pushed off

Re: UPDATED: Need Some Help.....Problem was 39 SBK's!!
You could just paint the barrel white. Or sell the rifle to me on the cheap  . If you like the 35's as I do, I'm sure you'll be able to tweak that load and get it as accurate as the 39 BK's. My Savage VLP that I wish I hadn't sold loved the 39 BK's and 40 Vmax bullets. For some reason it didn'...

Re: 300yd Groups
I had a blast trying and learned a lot doing so. Finding the most comfortable bench was one of the hardest parts. But that elusive 5 shot bug hole that will fit under a dime isn't easy. I had lots of 3 in one hole with two fliers or bad shots... Didn't shoot my LRPV much last year. My Predator and A...

Re: Well we made it to Germany
Good luck in Germany. I had some friends over there, one for Tank training and the other was a civilian who worked there for 10+ years. Both enjoyed their stay. One day I hope to see the sights of Germany and the surrounding area. Send us some pics from the Eagles Nest. Amsterdam is just around the c...

Re: Need Some Help.....
Here's what my Savage did with 10X and 39 grain BK's in the PD postal shoot at 200 yards. Haven't tried it since. Still not sure what happened
. The groups were shot from top to bottom.

Re: free recoil?
Like the title says, here's a few articles from a bipod master. It's some good reading. A part two link on reloading is at the bottom of page one. Got this from 6mm BR dot com. The "hard hold" is the only way I can shoot. http://www.6mmbr.com/TacticalFroggyA1.html Ken Check out this artic...

Re: 300yd Groups
Nice shooting, especially with a 14X scope. Now get out there and do it again. I spent the WHOLE summer of 07 trying to shoot five shots touching at 300 yards. I came Soooo close so many times. Most of the time it was the fifth shot being the bad egg when I got a good start

Re: Buddy joins the ranks of manhood
Rick, My two Savage 204's are on the way.. Don't let me find them holding up your tomatoes this spring. I'm sure you'll find the scope on my LRPV worth recycling :P . That night a rabbit was back at the bird feeder and Buddy chased him off three times in two hours. Got skunked all three times. Now t...

Buddy joins the ranks of manhood
I let Buddy out this morning as usual so he can check the perimeter. Most of the time he only stays out for about 10 minutes or so, just long enough to jog around the fence line and make sure no critters are near. Today, a half hour went by and no Buddy. Hmmm... I called and nothing. Now that's not ...
