Re: Consistency of Trimmer

I can usually get them all within .001 and over 95% within .0005. I use a couple Old style RCBS Collet and drawbar type. I think the Forster is the same. The key is getting the same tension every time when you turn the Tee handle to tighten collet. Less pressure and the case will be short, more pres...

34gr Dogtowns and Benchmark

So far so good with the 34gr Midway Dogtowns and 26.6gr Benchmark. At 100 yards they seem just as accurate as the Bergers. They also have the same point of impact as my 26.6gr Benchmark and 35gr Berger load at 100. The only thing different other than the bullet is a Remington 71/2 primer and a OAL (t...

Re: CZ or savage

One of each sounds like the right choice. A good bore scopen would be the decision maker for me.

Re: Group reading.

Rick
You had me thinking Glenn Newick had another book.
xr100
It's a soft cover book about 3/4 of an inch thick. If you don't have any luck finding one let me know.

Re: Accuracy ?

My Savage barrels need to be cleaned after about 40-50 rounds with a slow fire keeping barrel heat to a minimum. My Les Baer on the other hand will shoot 100+ rounds fast and furious and clean up with 4 or 5 patches. The three main factors for accuracy loss are Velocity, barrel heat and bore smoothne...

Re: WTB .243 brass

Rick
That's where I looked first. I kinka wanted Nosler but no dice. Second choice was WW. My last batch of Lapupua cough cough .223 was HIDEOUS. Necks walls are out .0015 and look funny in the web area. Looks like Norma will have to do.

WTB .243 brass

Can't find any WW brass in .243 Win. Lapua seems to be the only brass available. If you know where I can find some new WW brass push me in the right direction

CNN/HNN news on rifle ban

Here we go. The assault on our rights is about to fire up. CNN/HNN is/was running a story with Miami police chief saying " I'm a friend of Joe Biden and a assault rifle ban is in the works". End quote!!... I did notice they now cut that part out of the story. :chin: Good thing I sold all m...

Re: GOOD NEWS! Berger .20 cal 55gr Bullet

I'm curious to see what velocities the .204 Ruger can produce with this bullet. 3800 FPS would be nice But may require the use of a welding helmet :hic: .

Federal GM205M primers

What's the hottest load (or FPS) you SAFELY used with the thinner cup Federal GM205M primers. With CCI BR4's being extinct, The 500 I have left are for matches only. Looks like it's time to work up some new 204 loads with Federal 205M's and Rem BR primers. I know the Rem BR very well, Just never tri...

Re: Great News! (kinda)

An empty seat is better than one with Hillary in it. We all knew the new seat warmer was going to be a Democrat. :eew: Maybe there's hope for her. Here we go with that hope thing again. What is hope ?? An excuse to do NOTHING
