I would go with the VLP. It's a solid rifle, and will surprise you with it's accuracy. As far as ragidity goes,I don't think the 204 has enough kick to make a difference. I lug my VLP with a 29 inch Harris bipod around,So if your a young Buck, you'll have no trouble at all.I think I'm unconsciously d...

WP No neck turning needed on THIS lot of 100 cases.Wall thickness was within .0005.I never had a need to anneal until now  .The Hornady brass I have was hard to neck size after 4 reloads. They needed annealing BIG Time! I probably tossed 8 or so in the scrap bin because of loose primer pockets...

MrPillow Thats exactly what my Savage VLP did with the 40 grain Berger's.Runout was less than .00075 .They just didn't shoot well.Maybe a stabilization problem with your rate of twist and bullet design?? On the other hand, the 35 Berger's,40 Vmax and 39BK's are all under a dime at 100 yards with a ...

 I never loaded for the 20 Vartarg but any time I got a stuck case the problem was lack of lube.Did you lube the neck on the inside??. I had a stuck case once and my fix was to squirt Hornady One Shot case lube in the vent hole on the die and out it came.Lack of lube was my problem.I'm sure the...

My friends Savage FV is a sweet shooter. It got it's first 50 rounds down the pipe today. We shot 40 gr Vmax's and 35 grain Bergers today. To my surprise the 40Vmax's shot very well with 26.9 grains of H4895.I had loads in .2 grain increments up to 27.7. The Bergers shot well throughout the ladder loa...
