Re: Another "To the Lands" and Loads Question
I have the same rifle. And NONE of my Savage 204's liked the bullet close or into the lands. But, you need to try it because every rifle is different. 2.255-2.265 from tip to base with the 35 grain Bergers and Benchmark gives me the best accuracy in both my LRPV and Predator. I never did do much loa...

Re: flash holes
The flash hole is the little hole the primer pocket. When the primer is struck it shoots a flame through the "flash hole" to ignite the powder. The flash hole burr problems are from the manufacturing process when they drill, mold, or punch the flash holes. This process can leave a jagged bur...

Re: Electronic Ear Muffs?
have a set of the Peltor shot gunners. They're slimmer and smaller than most and work just fine with all varmint calibers. To be honest, I only use them when needed. I prefer the foam earplugs for bench work ESPECIALLY in hot weather. Although when at the range "ALONE" and a guy shows up s...

Re: Black Bird Pie
I never did get to see the feathers fly. I shot, and he disappeared from the opening in the fence. The critters love tenderized crow. Both got carried off soon after dark. Not that deer season is over and all the knuckleheads are out of the woods. I can get out the white suit and hunt some predators...

Burris Signature 1 inch High (.390) rings Gloss Blue
This is a nice set of Burris Signature 1 inch gloss rings. .390 from base to scope tube. What you see is what you get. They have the plastic inserts. Nice rings, I just don't use this style. They came in a box of stuff I picked up a few days ago. They're Like new. And I'll even toss in a flag style ...

Black Bird Pie
Been playing a little cat-n-mouse with the crows lately. After shooting one a few weeks back they smartened up a bit. The bird in the green grass was wacked the day after thanksgiving with a 30 grain v-max in 22 magnum. That's a turkey leg next to him. After that kill, They would do a fly-over and la...

Re: a few classics
I was over my buds house and he practically begged me to take another gun home. This time it was a Belgian made Sweet Sixteen with dual sight pins and a raised rib. I told him I had no room for another then he put this baby in my hands  ... Also FOR SALE is a Japan made never fired 28ga Citori...

Re: Lee trimmer
Lee would have to make a new cutter with a smaller diameter internal thread in order for it to work on a .204 case. Their existing one has a .204 hole in it. If it were .015 smaller, It would be doable  . I like to use the Lee trimmers on all my military rifles. They're EXTREMELY quick and eas...

Re: Oh no.. A cleaning question.
To neutralize brushes and jags, I use Isopropyl Alcohol with the highest Isopropyl content I can find(80%-90%). It's cheep and available everywhere. For the chamber, I use a 410 shotgun mop on the handled section of a 3 piece shotgun cleaning rod.

Re: a few classics
Anybody know the MOA per line on the scope base adjustments :? .The adjustable base is made by Kuharsky Bros. Erie Pa. I got the scope all cleaned up and it's kinda nice. The trigger on the .243 is also very nice. It feels to be set at about a pound or so with NO creep. It seems to be a 1 in 9.5 twi...
