Re: 16" Barrel
I have a Ultra light with a 20" barrel that I use for coyote hunting it is handy but ear shattering, I cut another barrel down to 21" inches I would not do it again. You will want to keep the can on all the time. If I shoot too much with these guns, even with hearing protection I get head ...

Re: 20VT and Fireball Fun in the Rat Patch
Looks Great. We had a bad year with drought last year but this year looks better. Its been two years since I have made a long range trip to shoot skippy . Hope to make it this year. I have been reduced to using air rifles here in So Cal. Every call in about a gun shot gets a visit by the Sheriff the...

Re: Lighting for night hunting
The red cree lights that Will suggested are great I got mine from Illusive wildlife but looks like the same kit. In the past I built my own but. These are less bulky. The charge on the batteries last all night no problem. You can charge them up in your car if need be. I like my light on the barrel. ...

Re: ND PD Hunt on 8-30-2012 with Suppressed .17 Remington
Great story as always I don't get why people thing trees are target holders. I have seen California oaks wiped out by target shooters and have talked to a few to educate them. Its sad I have seen where people will carry large amounts of garbage out into the Mojave desert to use as target practice an...

Re: Ruger 77/17 Accuracy fix
Thanks for the info. I have set the Rifle aside for a while. I will get it out again soon and work with it a little I will most likely re bed it one more time. I had been grinding the devcon bedding back a little to find the sweet spot. I have lost the accuracy once again I had to take a break. I ha...

Re: Ruger 77/17 Accuracy fix
Thanks I have considered sending my rifle to them but wanted to do a little more home work. His prices are decent. Its just sad that Ruger can't let me talk to any body technical all I get is cubical monitor watchers who keep apologizing for there sorry performance. If I get it shooting decent I mig...

Ruger 77/17 Accuracy fix
I Received my new Rifle from Ruger it also shot bullets all over the target. So I decided to float the barrel this did little to improve groups. I installed the rifle Basix trigger. Then I glass bedded the action. This helped but I messed up the mix of Devcon and it came out soft but there was much ...

Re: Update on Ruger 77/17
No I don't. I sent the Rifle back to Ruger to day I got a letter stating that the Rifle was beyond repair and that they would send me a new one but I would have to pay the FFL transfer fees which are $65 dollars here in Kalifornia. I wonder if it is just easier for them to send a new rifle than work...

Re: Update on Ruger 77/17
Removed the Rifle Basix trigger from the Ruger M77/17 and sent the rifle back to Ruger to see if they can find out why the rifle won't group. Cost $30 dollars for shipping. I will let you know how it works out.
