Re: BARREL LENGTH?
For almost 25 years I used a Ruger M77 in .243 with a heavy 18 inch barrel I bought it used I don't know any history on it. It was glass bedded and shot like a dream I had just changed the trigger out to a timney and loaded it with 65gr Vmax bullets before I sold it to a friend a few months ago. The...

Installed replacement Rifle Basix trigger for Ruger V/T
I recieved the replacement trigger from Clay at Rifle Basix to swap out with the one I had installed that was giving me fits. The new trigger installation was finished in minutes and adjusted to 1lb 1oz. No problem I could tell from the moment that I put the trigger pin in that there was a differenc...

Re: New CZ 452 in .22 LR
I put a 4x16 power tactical scope on my 22 which allows me to dial in elevation really easy. I see my misses and make adjustment. Once you find your range stay there you can make 200 and over yard shots.

Re: 39Gr Blitzkings or 40Gr Vmax
I use Vmax bullets because they are a little less expensive. They shoot fine and do the job. I am sure ether one would be fine.

Re: LOCATING COYOTES....
Sirens work. But the naighbors won't know if its you or the coyotes if you use the howling tape. I have coyote in the wash behind my house that howl every time a siren goes off. When I go out locating at night I play the howling tape and have found coyote sleeping in the shrubs in front of peoples f...

Re: Problems with new Rifle basix trigger.
I e-mailed Rifle basix then called them they told me to give my address and they would send a pre paid envalope with a new trigger just send the old one back. He explained that some times they get over polished after the nickol plating process. I just wish I had given up sooner and called for help. ...

Re: Shooting Advice and Technique
I tried to post you this morning but lost it. Try shooting from the set of your truck with a sand bag on the door. A truck will move with the least bit of shifting of your weight. I have had a couple of fox come right up to the window of my truck. They don't seem to see the red light I use. http://i...

Re: My first double
I just bought two more claw slings for my self and bought claw slings for every one in the family. The swivels can be traded out. I also have 4 of the Busnell banner scopes and have yet to have one fail. I have made some great shots with them.

Re: My first double
Good Job! Nice. Is that a 6x18x50AO Bushnell banner scope on that rifle? Let me tell you a bout a rifle sling that you might like. The Claw by Quake is a great sling for a heavy rifle that can be had for under $20 dollars. It stays on your shoulder where you put it. Makes it easer to do your set ups...

Re: Varmint Grenades Revisited!!
These are the bullets that the boys in central california have to shot to be legal in the condor country. The law passed by the green party. I have read some good reviews about them on Midwayusa sight. I might have to buy some and load them in case I get a chance to shoot in Condor country. Its good...

Re: M77 Mark II Stainless – First Reloads
I have three of the Rugers in 204. The Ultra light, the standard and the V/T. The Ultra light and the standard will both shoot as well as the heavy barrel rifle. I have acheaved good groups with several defferent powders. I've only used three defferent bullets. My standard would not shoot the 32gr V...

Re: From the "deck" crow
Nice Melven! I like your targets out there in the field. When I go for my squirrel shoots I stick targets out in the field like that so I can swing over and hit one once in a while to make sure nothing has changed. I know it is nice to be able to shoot off the back deck. I haven't been able to do th...
