Re: Flatest, wind buckingest sheep cartrige???

If you can get the wind to your back or face not as much of a problem. I shoot light caliber rifles 243 & 204 and have taken some long shots in the wind but the advantage is I can watch for the dust from the shot as the recoil is light and correct the shot I have made some good second shots the ...

Re: M77 Ruger Trigger Adjustment

well I ordered a Timney trigger for the M77 I am still waiting so while waiting I took the the spring out of the trigger and cut one coil squashed it down with pliers and re installed it and backed of the adjustment. Re: Another first!

Nice country like shooting in a park! Reminds me of when I was a kid and could shoot off the back deck of the house back in Oregon. Good looking coyote. You will find out that you can hit them out even farther with the 204 as long as you have a steady rest if you can see them they not safe. Happy Hu...

Re: Clean / Dirty Powders...

I have gone to cleaning my barrels with brass brushes after less shots fired because of loss of accuracy. I have also started using the ball powders like W760 and Ram Shot Xterminator because of ease of reloading large amounts of ammo over the IMR powders and Hodgdon. I have found that the ball powd...

Re: M77 Ruger Trigger Adjustment

I've read the evaluations on Midway for the after market triggers apparently Ruger made a change in there triggers on the M77's sometime in the past. Most people complained about the safety on them. The new Mk II Rugers are easy to install the Timmey triggers on. I missed a deal on Midway they had t...

Re: bullet spash ?

I've used the 32gr Vmax and 40gr Vmax and had only small splashes on a Bob cat and a fox that I hit in the face. Two Cats I hit in the shoulder from the front had flaps opened on them but not bad. Both the 32gr 40gr have worked great on Coyote's with not one splash and no pelt damage at all some whe...

Re: 32g blitz kings,r10x and IRM 4064,W/W primers,CZ 527 Varmint

You will like the 32gr BK's I have been using the Ramshot Xterminator powder and have been getting excellent groups I like this powder better than the Hodgdon or IMR powders due to its ease of use in the powder thrower Ramshot is fine like sand. As for accuracy you will be able to hit any thing you ...

Use a tape of a coyote group howling at night to locate them they will come in on this also. If you can use a coyote howler hand call. I find when they are well feed that they will come to check a stranger out or howl at another group of coyote's. If you can hunt at night there is some advantage. Us...
