Re: To the lands
I had a Howa 1500 in .204, I'm surprised that you can get it anywhere near the lands.

Re: CZ 527 American
Yes I looked at that, I could afford to go 1/4" and still clear it tho.Rustyaxecamp wrote:No reccomendations, however, are you sure the bolt throw will clear the scope if you go lower?
Thanks

CZ 527 American
Hi guys
I have one of the above and have just got a 30mm S & B scope for it.
At the moment the rifle has the original CZ mounts, but the scope sits about 1/2" high off the barrel.
Do any of you have suggestions for mounts that will lower the setup please.
Regards

Re: 204 case trimming
I contacted Lee, they wont make one for the .204
So I got a 222 Rem mag one and polished it down to fit, its ok but I check every case anyway.

Re: RCBS Plastic Loading Funnel
I use an old Lee funnel (the red one)
I cut a .17 case in half with plumbers pipe cutters and it superglued perfectly into the hole in the funnel, as others have said the 17 neck sits great in the 204 neck.

Re: Seat bullets that are not boat tail
I got similar probs with the 32's but no more since i usee an RCBS case tool, just chamfer the inside of the case neck a little.
But, i dont shoot for accuracy, just varmints.

Re: Quick release bore brush
In my humble opinion, nylon will not effectivly remove fouling, but to answer your question it wouldnt damage the bore/crown either.
So you end up with a fouled barrel and and an undamaged crown

Re: Quick release bore brush
Hi Guys
Correct me please if I am off the mark here but...........
how can soft brass bristles damage hard steel, I know we should be carefull with the crown, I am not a mettalurgist (thats never spelt right) but aint that why bore brushes are made of all brass (the good ones anyway.
