Re: .204 Ruger steel plate penetration, surprising result.

I am back, I fell off the earth for a while but now its time to join in this great site. when we shoot we hang targets with cloths pins from a wire stretcthed between two posts. If its not windy we simply use the pins at the top of the target and let them hang from the top. now after shooting a bunc...

When seating my bullets I am getting as much as 10 thousands difference in col. I am using a lee press and hornady dies. These rounds are my plinker rounds of 7 grains of titegroup and 240-grain hornady swc. Brass is all trimmed the same size. These are 44 mag rounds and I know that the difference w...

the second ammendment has nothing to do with hunting.

I like this clip about the second ammendment not having anything to do with hunting. if you dont know what this lady means after watching this clip you had better read the second ammendment again and search for its true meaning

Re: 44 mag load

with this powder all manuals state not to drop below 23 grains as the min and 24 as the max. I may try some at 23.5 as i like to stay middle of the road for all my loads if they are accurate. by staying middle of the road i feel safe should my powder charge be off a little.

lonnngggg jump

has anyone had great results with a long jump to the lands. I reloaded some 35 grain bergers with a col of 2.224 and have shot the best group ever out of my cz 527 varminter. would there be a reason to not have such a big jump to the rifling if it produces the best groups. I was thinking maybe it wo...

Re: Just had a .204 "failure"

I hope everyone here knows I am not bashing you. your post is titled 204 failure but the 40 grain v-max and the 204 did what they were intended to do. shot placement is key, someone told me there's a whisper in the woods that states coyote meets berger bullets and dies. but shot placement is still k...

when my buddy and i shoot we like to hang coins out to shoot at. we made a frame for shooting out of 2x4s and ran wire across to hang our targets from. from the wire we hang paper targets from the top of the target only by using cloths pins. this allowes the target to sway in the wind helping us to ...
