Whistlepig : You hit the nail on the head. We went through this same type of crap out here in Canada. The Liberals were more concerned about farmer Joe's guns than they were about controlling crime all to appease the majority of the voting population who do not interact with firearms at all. The co...

N.U.B Thanks for the info on the new VX-L. I'm still trying to decide between the VX-L and the VXIII. I went to the local gun shop yesterday and priced out a 6-20 x 56 in 30 mm tube with windage and elevation dials in the varminter reticle. Came in at $1600. I've been searching other sites for more ...

I use both the 40 gr noslers and the 39 gr sierras in my VLP for the smaller critters. H-4895 and RL-10X. The sierras have a slight edge in accuracy with mine. They both give great aerodynamics with the prairie poodles (especially when you hit em in the bottom 1/3). I tried the 40 gr V-max and was n...

I also have the VLP which is a bit heavier than the norm. No issues carrying it in the field. A lighter sportweight model would be nice as a calling rifle, but I do a lot of prairie poodle-in during the summer and this is where the VLP really shines with the heavy stainless fluted barrel. I was goin...

Glen - Havn't checked into it yet, but I plan on making a few phone calls and sending out some E-mails to see what we have to do to make this happen. Dealing with the govt is frustrating due to the red tape and the bleeding hearts. I will probably start off with some of the local fish and game clubs...

Re: Ethical Hunting.
Sorry to disapoint you but I bowhunt myself, thats exaclty why I know you loose and mame more deer with a bow than anything else. I have been bowhunting probably 10 years. I have only killed deer with a bow. Out of the 10 or so Ive shot 3 have gotten away with complete passthourgh shots, and went m...

 I seem to come across more arrow kills of this nature than animals killed by bullets, many more. Out here in Alberta, it is definitely the other way around, in the areas that I hunt in anyways. It all boils down to the few taking that unethical shot. There are bad apples in every crowd willin...

Ethical Hunting.
. As far as ethical hunting just about any gun is more ethical than a bow, why dont people preach to bow hunters? . To say that "bowhunting" is unethical is a total farce. Obviously WVrugerfan has never bowhunted. I have been bowhunting for for over 21 years and a broadhead through ...
