Re: what is your #1 bullet choice?
one of the fun parts of my 204 is seeing the bullet hit for this reason i stay with the 32gr :D  If you enjoy seeing the hits, you should try the 26 gr varmint grenades. "Felt recoil" is quite noticeably less as compared to the 39 and 40 gr stuff. I don't think I would use them on bi...

Re:
My Savage 12VLP likes the 39 gr. Sierra BKs, but some of the 32 gr. Sierra BKs tumble when velocities get much above 3,875 fps. . Same issue with my Savage 12 VLP. As soon as I started increasing the charges, they tumbled quite badly. I tried RL-10X, H-322, Benchmark, and H-4895. When I bought my n...

Re: Nosler 32
I've used the nosler 32's and they do just as well as the 32 V-max with the same point of impact.

Re: Wolf with .204
Way to go. Lots of wolves in La Biche area. I do a fair bit of "ice fishing" in that area and we do see the odd wolf out on the ice. How bout some pics?
Oh, and by the way, welcome to the forum Unclebuck. The guys out here like to see pics, so bring em on.

Need a new 204
I have a dillema. I need a new 204. I have two heavy savages right now and am looking for a lighter one to be used as my calling rifle for yotes. My problem is i've been spoiled with the out of the box accuracy of my heavy savages and don't want to sacrifice accuracy with a lighter version. I've com...

Re: Scope of choice
I have a Bushnell Elite 4200, 6 - 24 X 50 with mil-dot on my 204 BTVSS and on my VLP, I have the leupold VXL, 6.5 - 20 X 56 with the varmint hunters reticle. The bushnell is nice but I still prefer the Leupold. Clarity is close, but I give the Leupy the edge. I really like the varminters reticle as ...

Re: Used my Mathews bow.....
Great looking deer especially when one gets it with stick and string. Way to go I may head out to the tree stand in the next few days. The deer are rutting big time and are responding well to grunts and rattling. My buddy and I are going to try and capture on video of me shooting a big whitetail. Th...

Awesome pics. What kind of camera did you use? Your pics seem quite crisp and detailed.

Re: Anyone shooting Remington 32gr factory loads?
I had tried out the Remington 32 and 40 gr accutips back when I bought my first 204 and was only shooting factory fodder. The 32 gr accutips were just as accurate as rhe 32 gr V-max's in my VLP. The 40 gr accutips on the other hand were pretty horrible at about 2" to 3" compared to about a...

Bone cracker
A buddy of mine was out in his tree stand bowhunting for some of our monster Alberta whitetails when this fella came wandering in. A nice 40 yd shot right between the "lookers".
