I use 26.3 gr of RL-10X, 23.3 gr of H-4198, and 27.8 gr of benchmark with the varmint grenades.
RL-10X had a slight edge with accuracy.

Re: A "double" this morning
When I decided to call, I sat down on the pail and because of the deep snow, I used a set of "shooting sticks" instead of the bipod. That was a VERY FUN day.

Nice pics Verm2. That's the best way to spend the day playing "hooky" from school.

Nice pics Ryan. That elevated platform sure would do the trick for those sneaky ones that just like to barely show themselves.

Nice pics Rick. Our ground squirrels are up and about "en masse". I'm hoping the wife brings her SLR for some action shots when I head out. Soon, very soon.

As usual, great story and pics SF. I still can't believe that I haven't been out p-doggin yet this year . I just may have to slip out for a few hours tomorrow or Thursday. I have over 1000 rounds and three 204's just itchin to do some "red misting".

Nice shootin Silverfox. It's good to see the new 8208XBR is working for you. I have an opportunity to buy an 8 lb jug, but I think I'll wait until I can get a 1 lb'er for testing just in case my three 204's don't like it.

Re: 300 yd groups
My VLP has a Leupold VX-L 6.5 - 20 X 56mm with the varmint reticle. When dialed in at 20X, I used the third hash mark down and was about 3 1/2" low. Here's some links to the free targets that I use. I like some of their long range targets. Helps me stay focused when I squeeze off that shot. htt...

Re: New to the forum Having a problem with my 204
I have lapped the barrel twice now. and yes I copper clean it after every 20-30 rounds or it just flat out won't shoot. The layer of copper you are seeing in the bore is after 20 rounds on a freshly scoured Barrel. I am using Sweets 7.62 solvent for the copper with a nylon brush. Thanks for the rep...

Re: Launch or disintegration?
I like LAUNCH. My FAVORITE is the "Texas Heart Shot"....nothing better than a launch this way. Here is one of my favorite "Texas Heart Shots". Not much for launch, just major "vaporization". http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m128/gube_2006/Prairie%20Poodle%2...
