Re: 35 gr berger bullets
It's what I shoot, and reload. It's a great bullet. Unfortunately I only have 15 rounds left Luckily I have 100 39 gr blitzkings sitting on the shelf that I'll have to load up or I'd be out of ammo. The HSM ammo is good to go. I bought a box to try the 35 gr Berger initially and was pleased.

Re: Powder vs Bullet
I think a good example is Berger says 8208 XBR max load for 35gr is 26.3. Hodgdon says starting load for 8208 35gr Berger is 27. That to me that is a large discrepancy. I'm just thinking out loud here.

Powder vs Bullet
Wasn't sure how to title this thread. What numbers do you guys look at for starting a load? I've always used a bullet manufacturer reloading book, but have noticed the powder manufacturer numbers being significantly different. I always start low anyways, but was just curious as to what everyone else...

Re: 204 extractor
I just ordered a factory replacement from brownells. It had extraction issues since day one so it's not a hand load issue.

204 extractor
Do any of you guys run a Sako style extractor on your Remington 700? My stock extractor is still giving me problems and I'm looking to upgrade.

Re: .204 Ruger rifle photos
RJ, How does the suppressor work on the 204? Is it a 223 suppressor? If it is how much diference is there between using it on a .223 rifle and using it on a .204 rifle? Sorry for the late response just getting unpacked from elk hunting. It's actually my 30cal can, a SureFire 762SS. I've never had a...

Re: Lets talk suppressors
The magazine is an AI .223 and the bottom metal is a Manners MCS-DBM mini chassis, built by Badger Ordnance. It's just like the M5 DBM from Badger Ordnance. It's a slick setup just torque the barreled action in and go. Now I just need to settle on a scope.... Yes I would recommend the SureFire suppr...

Re: Lets talk suppressors
Here's my 204 with my SureFire 762SS on it. I recommend getting one (any suppressor) if you can. Not that the 204 has much recoil but suppressor and brake killed 99.99%. Suppressor life, I'm not sure what that is? In the Marine Corps we put a lot of rounds through our suppressors and got them really...

2 dogs down
256 yards. 32gr V-Max factory loads. Male (bottom) was sitting down and got smacked in the chest. Female (top) got double lunged on the run. I think they were looking for my calves. First kills with the new 204, can't wait to use it again.
