Me and my boy both have NEF Handi-rifles in .204, we went last may to shoot prairie dogs in the texas panhandle, our shots were from 285 out to 400yd (laser rangefinder) we had no problems connecting at those distances, only problem we had was slow reload times, if your on a budget and those are all...

Ramshot powders

Stock for the mini mauser came in friday, Richards screwed up and put a rosewood cap on it, so now I'll probably end up cutting that off, but sanding has commenced, the action and barrel are almost finished at the gunsmith, gunsmith has taken a bit too long, but as an apology he has jeweled the bolt...

whoooo hoooo just heard from Richards, they are shipping my stock tomorrow, so it looks like the stock and the rifle will almost arrive together from opposite coasts, now I need to call boyds and check on the status of my boy's stock!

you might seriously look at the 30gr bergers for fox, I took some with me on a pd shoot and they'll carry out to 400yds, my boy took great delight in head shooting pds, his bullet of choice was the 30gr bergers!

be very careful with blc2, it builds pressure fast! I quit using it for that reason, h335, benchmark, is what I'm now using and I'm going to try the tac powder from ramshot

My biggest disappointment with the .204 Ruger was that it was not very accurate past 300yds. Any Prairie dogs that were 350yds away were actually fairly safe when I was shooting that rifle. Must of had a bent rifle... :eek: Kinda what I thought. Then he tried 50 gr bullets. :? well not sure how i'm...
