well adjusted the trigger back to 4.5lbs, this was the factory setting, tried the resized brass, no go, tried some factory brass that had not been through a die, still no go, I decided that it was a head space issue, returned rifle to the previously mentioned 3lbs and made a mental note to take it t...

Re: cartridge boxes

[quote="Rick in Oregon"]Another vote for the new MTM boxes from Midway marked '204 Ruger'. Even with my long overall length BK's, the lid will still close. They won't fit in any of my boxes marked for the 223. All my boxes are color coded! .204 go in the blue boxes and the .223 go in red b...

Re: Custom .204

After alot of diligent sanding of the barrel channel the barrel is now floating, the action is pillar bedded, now I need to finish the stock with a little more work with 400grit sandpaper, then some fine steel wool, and a couple of coats of oil finish, project is close but now I have to come up with...

Re: howa 1500 .204

I have a timney on my mini mauser but haven't got the rifle to fit into the stock yet, I'll cross each bridge in it's turn, My boy is 16yo, he's an excellent shot, been shooting since he was 5yo, and hunting since he was 7yo, however he is still a kid and I think 3lbs is as low as we should go for n...

Re: 30gr Berger

Me and my boy used them on the prairie dog shoot last may, I loaded them with 28.2grs of benchmark, my boy really liked them, he was making head shots out to 400yds, your not going to get a spectacular kill like you do with a heavier bullet but they'll do the job! will completely remove a pd's head ...
