ya'll are aware he worked for the passage of the 1968 gun control act? If you know this is the act that took the ATF and made them the current thugs that they are!

Re: O/T, but check out these pics!

Anybody that enters the wilderness, frozen, forest, desert, or where ever without a firearm is an idiot! to most predators you are just meat! and an easy meal at that! where there are big predators you need a big gun and a big knife, pay attention to what's around you and maybe, just maybe you'll su...

Re: P-Dog prep

I'm all sighted in, the 35gr bergers and the 40gr v-max shoot to the same poa, the 33gr calhoons go a little high by about an inch, since we'll be shooting 200 to 400yds I can compensate for that! my custom built .204 and my boy's howa both shoot the 35gr and the 40gr with tight little groups, so we...

P-Dog prep

I have 500rds that has been sized, trimmed, chamfered and primed, now to get it loaded before May 16th, I already have 600rds loaded and ready to go, mostly 35gr bergers, some calhoon 33gr and I'll load about 200rds of 40gr v-max, then finish with more bergers, Prairie Dogs better watch out, me and ...

Re: Powder query

my first suggestion would be to change primers, doesn't seem lie your getting a full ignition! I use either remington 7 1/2 primers or the cci 450 primers, you could also look at the cci br4 primers, I don't use them because they're very expensive here, my suggestion is cut you powder load, change p...

Re: Velocitiy

Best I've managed to get is 4385fps, I average 4150fps, I have tried blc-2 I don't like the stuff, builds pressure really fast! my second choice is h335, I load this a little hot but it works for me! please be careful, I have managed to get it up to 29.7grs before wisdom and the loss of my brass mad...

Re: Howa's Any Good?

They are adjustable, I adjusted my boy's howa down to 3lbs w/ no creep! I actually got it down to 2lbs, but I didn't think he needed that light a trigger!

Re: Howa's Any Good?

My boy's howa heavy barrel cost 425.00, 180.00 for the thumbhole stock, and then the price of the bushnell elite was 420.00, so you can figure what that should cost, everything was brand new when purchased!

Howa's are very very accurate, shouldn't lose in that area!

Re: Trying to fight the urge!!!!

So far he hasn't been too shy of cleaning guns, After the last trip to the range he called me the next day while I was at the fire station and asked if it was okay if he cleaned my rifles, Well what's a decent father to say but sure son go ahead! ;)

Re: Trying to fight the urge!!!!

That would be cool a wife that goes deer hunting with ya! after all it gets cold in a deer stand! Ikonic move to Texas, we have very few gun laws at all, the only thing that keeps you from buying guns is your own budget. My 17yo son has more guns than most grown men! to date he owns a Remington 597 ...

Re: Trying to fight the urge!!!!

Okay first go get the rifle before you lose your mind, my boy has a howa heavy barrel .204, shoots unbelievable! it's as good as my custom .204! now when you bring it home keep it out of sight in your vehicle until the wife takes a shower or otherwise is unavailable, then sneek it into the house and...
