Re: GOOD BRASS/BAD BRASS HELP
I know I read on the board about someone using Fiocchi brass. Just try searching it. I have never even seen it for sale where I live. If the price is right and the factory loads shoot well in your rifle, why not use the brass?

Re: 32 gr Sierra BKs in a 9 twist barrel
BooBear 39gr Sierra's will shoot just fine. One of my most accurate bullets, next to the 35gr Bergers. My Tikka likes 25.7gr of Benchmark with the 39's.

Re: GOOD BRASS/BAD BRASS HELP
I have used Hornady brass new and used. Where I live it is a little more expensive then Winchester or Remington. The only time I have purchased it was because there was nothing else. I have about 400 or so of them. I believe that having quality brass can definitely help with accuracy. However I have...

Re: What's the shortest case length?
Thanks RIO. I will send Nosler an email. At least shouldn't have to trim any cases for awhile.

Re: What's the shortest case length?
I have never loaded brass that short before. I still have to work up a load for new brass, but how short is too short? I'm wondering if the really short ones like the 1.822 case could possibly cause a dangerous high pressure situation?

What's the shortest case length?
I know that Nosler brass is short, but some of mine are super short. Some of the cases are under 1.830 with the shortest 1.822
Anyone else's new brass that short?
Thanks
Curtis

Re: anyone use the 45 hornady sp?
I wouldn't use them if you want to keep the fur. They have always had a large exit hole when I have used them. If you hand load, the Berger 35gr and 40gr have given me the best results. Drops them right there and usually no exit.

Re: Early morning Red
No kidding. Its been so cold around here that at first glance I can mistake a fox for a coyote their fur is so thick.

Re: Accuracy issues with Savage Model 10/110 Predator
My 1-12 does not shoot 40gr's very well. The exception is Berger 40gr's. I believe the reason it shoots them so well is because the bullet length is shorter than even Sierra's 39gr (which my rifle shoots excellent). However after saying all that mine is a bolt gun. I do find it strange that you had ...

Re: -30 Badger
Yup they come out in winter here too, usually only at night time though. I see the black dirt on the white snow, evidence of their night time hunting. How they dig through ground that is frozen solid is amazing. In Manitoba you can only shoot or trap them in season, November until the end of January...

Nosy coyote
35gr Berger put a stop to this mischievous young male. He ran right towards me and stopped 140 yards away.

Re: Issue with CFE223
I would believe it. It just seems strange that the the CFE223 hasn't given me trouble with the heaver bullets.
