Re: TC Dimension
I like the theory, and everyone seems to like it. I'm holding out for longer and heavier barrels, and maybe at least a laminated stock option.

Re: What is wrong with these primers? Picture
Does it do the same with a different barrel/caliber, saying you have the option?

Re: Dillon xl650 for .204
I load 40 and 223 on my 550, but haven't done a lot of the 223 on it to be honest. It's just not something I would do again. I won't even load 44 magnum stuff in mine, and I shoot a bunch of those. To much worry of a big kaboom.

Re: 22 Hornet to 22 K-Hornet
I've got a G2 Contender with a 12" barrel. Would it be worth while to add a little more chamber volume to it? I'm liking the idea of not needed to trim the brass, which is at least one selling point to me.

That can't be good for barrel life either.

Re: New upper question....
I think your most likely right. I see both sides on the matter myself. Heck, try it and see if it will manually cycle without and with a few rounds. If it does, shoot it a couple times and see how it shoots.

Re: New upper question....
I won't swear to it, but generally, you want to have the bolt headspaced to match the barrel/nut assembly. The rest of the bcg will work fine though.

Re: Barrel or stock?
I can push a bullet through the barrel with virtually no resistance, that's what I mean by overbored. I don't know what they are doing, butt the smallest point in the casting my smith made at both the muzzle and chamber end was .206. In a .002" oversized bore, the bullet never makes solid conta...

Re: Barrel or stock?
For Hunter's sake, I hope it is the stock. Do a cerosafe casting before you spend any more money on it and see what you find. I'm betting it's overbored, which also explains why it gets so hot so fast.

Re: Re: Barrel or stock?
Hello everyone. I am new to this site. I recently bought a new Remington 700 spss varmint in 204 Ruger. Best I could do was 3 to 4 inch groups. Found a damaged crown. Local barrel maker cut a new crown. Shoots great now, as good as I am capable of shooting anyway, as long as the barrel is cold. As ...
