Re: Scope for heavy recoil

Never shot the RUM. Been in my safe at least 8 years. The 338 is more of appeal than anything. I have never shot any barrel out and probably wont that one. However what i have been doing is weeding out guns i never shoot for ones that i will at least a little bit like my hammerforged spiral 10/22 un...

Re: 40 gr nosler ballistic tip results

I had pretty good luck with nosler 40s over 4895 but never tried to develop a load for that bullet. Broke my barrel in and done my sight in with them. Worst group i got was around .75 best at about .25. Unfortunatly i lost that info i had for them from 6yrs ago (just started back handloading) and ca...

Re: XDM 40 Cal

I have a XD subcomp for i use for CC. Would i lose too much velocity pushing those out of my short barrel or would I be best suited with a lighter bullet? What recipes are you guys using for your .40s?

brass vs steel case test

luckygunner done a 10000 rd test of brass vs steel and listed wear, most dirty, and lots of other data including cost to buy each ammo and a replacement barrel. Great read. there is a link on accurateshooter to go to it.

RRA lower with psa upper, armalite trigger and hammer, and wilson wylde barrel. Looking for a bennie cooley break (recoil sensetive wife, her gun). What do you guys like for a break. I would get a jp eliminator if they wasnt so ugly.

Re: Trying Varget

was using h4895. Im just messing around with varget. May try it in my 243 too. Ive got my sights set on h4895 blc2 or 8208 for my go to load. Im just getting back on the reloading scene and relearning. A friend of mine got out of it so i have about 10 different powders including about 10lbs of h322.
