OK just to clarify

You DO use the beakers and you stand the brass upright in the BEAKERS and then set them in the plastic basket?

Help WrzWaldo I am just not getting the cases very clean. I am using the basket in a single layer I'm doing maybe 30-40 cases at a time; I'm not stacking them. The primer pockets get pretty clean but the necks still have powder residue. I've even tried a 4th and 5th cycle of 480 seconds and still no...

Cleaning

Do you stand the brass on end as in the pics from the 6mm BR site? I tried that last night and it's a bear with 204 brass. Do you do anything special to enhance the vibration and hasten the cleaning? The guy at 6mmbr uses plexiglass with a hole in it to keep the beaker from touching the bottom of th...

Silverfox I saw that, I am aware if that I just didn't expand upon it in my post. My point was the only real "cleaner" was white vinegar. Thanks for the input though I look forward to getting the unit. I just got a notice that it shipped today. Can you tell me where you get the Birchwood C...

Scope Value

I personally think the best bang for your buck right now is a Burris Fullfield II 3-9x 40. I say that with one caveat, it's not enough power to shoot prarie dogs but should be plenty ofr almost any other vermin. You can get one for around $100 +/- $15, new right now on ebay. Thos scopes were seeling...

Ultrasonic Brass Cleaning

I paid 49.95 + 17.95 S&H. So I have just about the same as you'd have in a tumbler I had to buy a couple glass beakers off ebay and spent another $12. I should have it all up and running by the first of next week.

George...I read that article that's what got me interested, but thanks!

Ultrasonic Brass Cleaning

Anyone ever tried ultrsonic cleaning of brass? I read a great article on 6mmbr.com about the topic. I just bought a unit off ebay for the job. No media, no dust and it cleans the primer pockets and inside the cases too. As Wilie would say, I will provide a full report, after I clean my first cases. ...

Everything but tracks with a coyote in them

Goody I hear ya man. I got into coyote hunting in Indiana about 20 years ago or more and we used to have great success calling. I made 3 stands once in a 10 day period and called in 3 the first time, 1 the second and 2 the third calling from the exact same spot. In addition to bringing them in I bro...

Field Conditions

I read an article about this very subject, I think Plaster wrote it. He suggested one should use the bench as a means of sighting in your rifle and then "GET THE HECK OFF OF IT" He suggested practicing sitting, kneeling, shooting from the prone position and yes even the dreaded offhand sho...

Kentucky Buck

Here's my buck from the 2006 KY deer season. It was WAY warm for the whole season. Just look how green the grass is in the picture. This pic was taken Mid November 2006.

Not my biggest buck but certainly not shabby.
