Re: new best @ 500
My first load I developed was with the 35 bergers but I also gave the 39bk's a shot since they have a high BC. Its nice to have a bullet that groups well and bucks the wind fairly well.

Re: CO prairie dog trip
I've never been p doggin but I know my .204 and myself would love to go! My dad and I have been talking about it and hope to do it sometime in the near future.
It would be a blast to hook up with all the members.

Re: First Shots new Ruger Preditor?
Yeah I wouldn't get too disappointed until you know it's not the wind and/or you. I agree with Dan get a good rest and wait for the right weather to test in.

Re: What would you get?
Well I did pick up a scope more for load development than hunting. It's a Weaver T 36. So far I love it. My groups tighten up a little since it takes the guess work out of thinking your crosshairs are in the center of the bullseye. But as for a variable power hunting scope I don't know when that wil...

Re: 39 gr BK Update
It was not shot from a clean barrel. I would agree with you but this was the only group that day that strung out at all like this. Even the groups above and below .2 gr didn't do it. So I am figuring it was just me.

39 gr BK Update
Well went out to the range this morning to finally test the 39 gr BK'S. I shot 12 three shot groups. 6 groups with IMR 8208 XBR and 6 groups of H4895. The H4895 out preformed the XBR in stardard deviation, extreme spread and group sizes. The load I am probably going to settle on is 27.7 gr of H4895 ...
