Re: Best scope?
On my .204 I use the Leupold VX-III 6.5 to 20. With Varmint Hunter Reticle. Nice fine cross hairs with the typical ballistic lines plus windage marks. http://number1son.smugmug.com/Other/Hunting/i-qchcq7C/0/Th/Varmint-hunter-Th.jpg http://number1son.smugmug.com/Other/Hunting/i-gBvfQmV/0/L/2012-08-06...

Re: Pics...finally the way I want it...For now !
Bodei, Yeah, Mine was clean just about long enough to take the photos. I am sure this will be just another version. The neck thickness, concentricity and trimmer are all crewed down. That seems to be working out for the time being...until I need more space . LOL Next task will be to build a die hold...

Pics...finally the way I want it...For now !
Just sharing my reload and storage area pics. I browsed the web and found many photos of reload tables but never saw one that was "U" shaped so thought you would be interested. Or not! Kitty Litter Boxes hold empty shotgun hulls in 410-12. roughly 3600 The pile of bags contain #8 1/2 magnu...

Low neck tension = lack of expansion and seal ???
If my neck tension is to low will it cause a condition that keeps the brass from expanding and sealing the chamber thereby creating blow back. I noticed 2 out of 8 fired cases looks like they have burn marks down one side of the case in kind of an arc pattern. currently using a bushing that results ...

Prepping NEW Lapua Brass - Neck OD already to small
Purchased some new Lapua 6.5 x 284 brass. I am trying to to determine how to treat this new brass vs a fire formed piece. I just swapped out the standard no frills RCBS for the Redding Bushing dies hence these new questions. A loaded round measures .2925 OD on the neck. The new brass is .2895 OD. Fi...

Forster Press FOUND
In a quest to upgrade some of my gear I decided to go with the Forster press. Since I am a "gotta have it right f - - - - - now" kind of guy I checked the web stites of the usual suppliers as recommended by Forster. Cabelas, Graf, Midway, Natches etc. No one had any in stock so I figured I...

Re: Chicken Or Egg / Seating Depth or Powder?
Thanks, That is pretty much the way I am handling it. One change at a time. I tend to shoot at least two - 3 shot strings at each change. This helps eliminate the weakest variable (me). A followup question if you will. On AVERAGE, how many rounds or strings will you have to shoot to get it as tight ...

Chicken Or Egg / Seating Depth or Powder?
What comes first in developing a load? seating depth or powder charge? And where does a change in primers come in? I know what all these things do in reloading but the order of events seems to be random out there. I would like a little more order to my loading. How do you know when there is a seatin...

Just got Patagonia's Ballistics Program
Does anyone else use Patagonia's Ballistic Software "Coldbore 1.0? Just got it yesterday via download ($85.00 U.S.) I did not get the mobile version that will sync. 1st impression was one of information overload and a high learning curve as there is a lot of stuff there. Some of the databases a...

Re: RL10X light load issue
Response From Barnes for THIS PARTICULAR LOAD...
With RL10 x you could go 1 to 1.5 grains below the min charge and be ok.
Thanks,
