Re: Prarie Dogs protected
It's not just any law, its the Endangered Species Act. A law with good intentions and ridiculous outcomes.

Re: fiocchi factory rounds
My best group with the Fiocchi 40 grainers was .132 inches. Be WARNED that I have had two different boxes of the 32 grain Fiocchis that were VERY hot. I had major cratering other overpressure signs. I bought them mostly for the good price, but was happy with the accuracy.

Re: Talk me into (out of) a 20VT
Rick, what role does the .204 have in your arsenal these days? Are there still advantages over the 20VT? Factory ammo is about the only one I can think of.

Re: 20VT Headed My Way
Need to pay off my credit card before I can buy another rifle, but 20VT is #1 or 2 on the list. Neck & neck with 6 BR. I also like the look of the Cooper, pay a little more up front but save it down the road. Congrats, need pics when it arrives. I think soon this forum should change to ".20...

What range to zero my .204?
Just wondering what distance you are zeroing your rifles for? I am thinking about maximizing my point blank range for ground squirrels. Most shots are taken under 200 yards, so should I just stick with a 100 yard zero? If I zero at say, 50 yards that would give me a corresponding zero somewhere past...

Magpul PRS if you have $$$. If not the standard A2 works pretty well.

Re: Forum rat rodeo
I'm down for PD and/or sage rat gathering. I am "local" for sage rats already, but would love to network with the guys. Heading "up country" tomorrow for rock chucks! Count me in for whatever you guys come up with.

Re: First Shots new Ruger Preditor?
why are you cleaning so much? Work some loads up. I like to fire 3 groups of 3 at intervals until I get to max powder load. Intervals can be .5 grain or .3 grains, your call. I usually dont clean until after my range session. A solid rest is key.
