Re: European boar with .204Ruger

Great job! I'd love to see the baboon. Those things are hideous. I have no sympathy for those creatures.

Re: List: Your next 3 guns

I have two of my next three on the way or on order, now I'll have to pay those off before I start on the 6mmBR. Lots of ammo to make in the meantime!

Re: New Family Member

I'm with you on the studs, 95% will be shooting from the rest. Now for the "fun" part, making loads. Better run over to Cabela's and pick up those two bags of .221 fireball they have on the shelf. This is my first wildcat, glad its not difficult.

Re: New Family Member

NICE! I'm going with the Zeiss Conquest. I looked through one last night at Scheel's and was impressed with the brightness for a 1" tube.
Did you install a sling swivel?

Re: Barrel or stock?

I hope it's a stock issue, but since a good stock will run you $200-300, I would have a smith check out the bore. The overheating is worrisome. What kind of loads are you running through it?

Re: New Cooper

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Cooper 20 VT soon.
Tonight I looked through a Zeiss Conquest and even though its a 1 inch tube, it was really bright and clear. I like the Varmint-z reticle. There was only a 40mm Leupold to compare it to, but I think either will be a good fit.

Re: List: Your next 3 guns

Check out Jeff Quinn's review of the 17 Hornet Model 25 Savage. It may move up higher on your want list.

Re: Sage rats!

Savage said today on Facebook...Many of you have asked about the Model 25 in 17 Hornet. We are shipping them in pretty good numbers now. Jeff Quinn has one of the first reviews we have seen on it. 10-Shot group, 1/2". Wow, great shooting Jeff!
