Re: Range finder.

I have the leupold rx-800i TBR. I use it to range prairie dogs and it works pretty good out to about 600yds.

Re: any recomended 204 loads for a TC icon Precision Hunter?

I read in your post you have only tried 40 and 45 gr bullets. I have a t/c venture predator 204 and they say it is a 1/10 twist but still could not get the 40's to group like the 32 and 39's. My suggestion would be to try a lighter bullet or the 39 gr sbk before you get to frustratedm. HTH

Re: Cooper curse

So I've diagnosed myself as being a rifle nut. What's the cure? I don't even have a scope on this cooper and I already would like another in .308! My wife said no more guns  :wall:. My wife says the same thing. We need to figure out RIOs secret or have his wife talk to our wives so she can set...

Re: Recommend me a scope!

Bodei. I had a Burris fullfeild e1 6.5-20x50. I liked the reticule very much but there were a few things I I didn't like about the scope. Most were just personal preference but I didn't like the feel of the turrets. They were smooth and didnt seem to click. I didn't like not having side focus and to...

Re: Scope magnification advice

Savageboy
I run the 6.5-20 and 8.5-24 leupolds. I shoot paper and prairie dogs out to 600 yds and I rarely use more than 20x. You will be very happy with your choice for what you want to do with it. I prefer the 50mm objective but some say its not necessary and raises the optic to high.

Re: nosler brass & 20vt has me stumped

It might not be the brass but I was worried it might be something I did to it because I have no trouble shooting the small groups withfire forming loads from the military stuff.
Thanks Bob

nosler brass & 20vt has me stumped

I cant seem to get this nosler brass to shoot. I am hoping you guys ill have some suggesttions. First, some history. I posted here a while back with forming steps I use to make military brass into 20vt brass. It still shoots lights out. I consistantly get 1/4 inch 5 shot groups and sometimes a littl...

Re: 3 plus a flyer?

From past experience when working up loads, it's always best to clean the bore when changing to a different powder. All powders foul in very slight different ways and to different degrees, so groups shot with a new powder without cleaning will never reveal their true potential unless you started ou...

Re: TC Venture owners

I have the predator model with the fluted barrel and camo in .204. It consistantly shoots 3/4 inch groups. It has a decent trigger and has been a good gun for tthe money.

Re: Need a cat and grey fox bullet got all the reloading stu

I am not familiar with magtech primers so cant help you there but alot of guys use match primers in the 204. There seems to be a common theme that with 204's the cci400 and standard sr primer cups are too thin and can cause issues with piercing and cratering. HTH

Re: my experience forming 20vt brass

I have one of the chop saws that RIO mentioned from harbor freight, it was around 25 bucks. I dont have quite as nice of a jig that Trapper dan describes. Mine is kind of crude. I drilled a hole in the end of a piece of 1x2, then i cut the 1x2 in half length ways. I just lay the brass in the exposed...

Re: help me decide on next varmint caliber

Sorry forgot the details. It is indeed a MTV with fluted barrel, 1 in 9 twist 223. It is alot lighter then what I thought it would be. I went to the gun shop anticipating getting the phoenix but after handling them both the MTV was lighter and I just cant seem to help myself when it comes to the woo...
