I loaded 8 rounds with 32 vmax with 17r of h4198 for sight in and fouling shots and to check for pr...

Re: The old dog guarding the new cooper
Thanks for the comments guys. Its a model 38 with aa+ walnut chambered in 20vt. Thanks to one of the forum members finding it for me. The old dog is a rescue I picked up almost 13 years ago. She cant hunt much anymore and the snow is so deep right now I have to carry her out to use the bathroom. Her...

Re: Flat based bullet
I am a newer reloader, about two years now, and this has been a great site. Based on the info you have given, my first thought would be maybe the case mouth needs a better inside chamfer. The experienced guys will jump in soon but that would be a place to start . HTH

Well with the shortages we are experiencing, i, like many of you are running low on powder. I managed to find a pound of reloader 17 and was hoping i could use it in my 7-08. Unfortunately, i cant seem to find any starting loads for my bullets or maybe it something i wont be able to use for my 7-08....

Re: 204 Brass Question
I been looking for rem. or win. brass for the last 6 mo. Does anyone have any idea when they will start running 204 brass and get it back on the market. I don't think this hornady is giving me very good groups. Can a make of brass make that much of a difference in tighter groups? I am not as e...

Re: 204 Brass Question
i have used Win, R-P and hornady. R-P gives me the best groups in my 204 but do tend to get a few tight primer pockets Win gives me the best groups in 243 and 22-250. Hornady never does me any good except the first shot of factory loads.

Re: wtb cooper

The dealer I ordered through said 4-8 months. You must be getting close to 9 now. What dies did you decide to use and what...

Re: wtb cooper
Well, i did it. I finally had some time off and made the drive to Michigun and handled about every cooper they had in stock. Including the phoenix 20 vartarg they have on gunbroker. I almost bought it but i am a sucker for the wood stocks. So i dropped some coin and had them order me a Jackson varmi...

Re: talk me into/out of 20vt
I like th 20 practical idea too because of my brass stock pile. I am pretty much set on the coopers though because i dont know of any good gun smiths close to me. I kicked around the idea of the repeaters as well but even the repeaters i do have a find myself single feeding anyway. I had 3 204's but...
