Re: Rem 700 aftermarket triggers

Thanks for the reply tokimini. I also looked at rifle basix but since I can't find a Jewell I'm probably gonna try and find a Timney.

223 priming issues! Am I doing something wrong?

Buddy of mine bought some .223 brass from and range and asked if I would load some up. We had worked up a load prior to this purchase. We settled on 18.5 gr of imr 4198 for his tikka t3. While priming up cases I noticed a few went in harder. The primers took a lot of pressure to push in. Two primers...

Re: New CZ712

Sounds like that was a great investment Glen.
I still plan to get one in a bit; a man can never have too many guns. I actually ended up getting a great deal on a Benelli super black eagle 2 last fall so the cz got put on hold.

Re: help me decide on next varmint caliber

I would also go with the .223 in a cooper. I don't personally own a cooper at the moment but I do have a few .223 rifles. As RIO stated brass is common and pretty easy to come buy and bullet selection is a wide array of choices. I personally shoot the 55 gr bullets out of my .223's. I have 1 bolt gu...

Re: Rem 700 aftermarket triggers

Interesting thread. I know nothing about after market triggers. But for 40 bucks I had a trigger job done on wifes SPS 700 and it is sweet. Gun guy said it was around a pound to 1.5. She is deadly with it. Then I chanced upon a 700 VTR that had a much harder pull. So after a youtube search saw that...

Re: New rifle

My Howa is sub 1/2 MOA with the right loads. You can buy the barreled action and then pick a stock you like. Any Howa or Weatherby Vanguard stock will work. Shoots factory Fiocchi 40 grain V max 1/2 MOA or less. The trigger is adjustable to about 3 lbs or so and is as good or better than Savage. I ...
