Re: Ruger 77/17 Hornet
Thats the one I'm looking for also. I had the opportunity to buy the savage with the Thumbhole but opted to hold out for the Ruger ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: release date on savage17 hornet
[quote="RowdyYates"]Saw on another site where the C-Zs delivery date has now been moved back to late-Jan. 2013. No thanks. What is so freaking hard about hanging a .17 cal. barrel on an existing action, or am I missing something??? :x This thing has been a marketing disaster.[/quote Before...

Re: Varmit calibers
I will be for sure buying at least one more .204ruger in a cooper. I have also looked at a Rem 700 204 and possibly a AR.

Varmit calibers
For some reason I am obsessed with small caliber rifles(although I own magnum ones also). I already have a .204Ruger and 2-.223 rem's. Any suggestions on other calibers? I am waiting on the new .17 hornet and was considering a .220swift? I have access to reloading tools but do not own them myself ye...

Re: Ar shooting 4" left scope issue?
Did you get the PEPR (or whatever ist called) one? Yes bow shot that would be the one. I couldn't remember the name in my last post. When I purchased the M-223 mount the salesman never mentioned it would be a pain in my hind end to install correctly. Apparently they are windage adjustable when inst...

Ar shooting 4" left scope issue?
My ar is shooting 4" to the left and my side to side adjustment is all the way to the right. Is this a scope issue? I have a Stag Arms upper and a Ds Arms lower. A friend of mine said its because it's custom built and wasn't guaranteed. I personally think its a scope issue. It was shooting 8&qu...

Re: Savage Model 10 XP Preditor Hunter
Hi...Thought I would seek out some help....Trying to figure out what glass they are putting on their "package rifles" I have heard that it is a Simmons 3-9, others tell me it is a Simmons 4-12, others tell me it is a Nikon 4-12....My hunting partner is looking at this in a .204 Package an...

Re: 223 rate of twist
Twist is MOSTLY used as an arguing tool for folks on boards. YES, it will stabilize a 55gr bullet, or anything light. Here is the rub with twist rates. Military uses a 7-twist,(actually I think it is 7.75) MOST commonly found is a 9-twist. Twist rates can vary by 1/2 twist(from stated) quite...

223 rate of twist
What rate of twist are most of your ar's? My stag has a 1/8 and I read its for 70-80 grain bullets. Would it still stabilize a 55 grain?

Re: Savage mod 25 Walking Var
initially I thought the Walking Varminter would have a mid contour barrel like the other model 25's. After I looked a little closer it appears to have a sporter weight barrel and coupled with the synthetic stock that makes up the "walking varminter" configuration. I could be wrong but tha...
