The hits have been low chest to head. They splat the thin skin on head good with enough penetration to instant kill. ...

Re: cleaning component compatibility with Tipton rods o
I'm using a set of Dewey rods from .17 cal through .338 and have found that all the Pro-Shot brushes, jags, mops all fit these thread sizes. Dewey also offers male to female and reverse for fitting various brushes to their and other rods. I'm about certain Tipton uses the same relative thread pitch...

Base & Ring Height for Savage 12 FCV
Will pick up a Savage 12FCV accu trig/stock tomorrow and looking for advice on mounting a 1" tube 4x16x50mm. I think I will use the Buris Signature rings but not sure of the height needed for that rifle, it has a 26" heavy barrel. Any advice would be great. Thanks Brian

Re: Savage Ml# 25 T Question
The model 25 Savage in 204 Ruger is plenty accurate. To be honest I purchased one a few years ago and it is probably the most accurate gun out of the box that i have ever owned. The only change i would make to the rifle is a better trigger. I couldn't get the factory accutrigger down to the level i...
