Re: Nikon Monarch scopes
I had a Monarch 6-24X50 on a .223. For the money I paid, I think it is JUNK compared to an equally priced Ziess that I known. I sold the scope and took a $200 loss.

Also, I forgot to mention, my Ruger#1 seems to like CCI 450 SR Mag. primers.

Re: Which Powder to Buy
I've bought a pound of RE10X. Is there any load data out there for the 32g V-max? Look in the "Favorite Load" thread. There is an Excel spreadsheet with good info on powders and bullets. I printed it out and it sits on my reloading bench. My best powder has been BL-C(2), but I haven't tri...

Re: Case lube question.
thanks for the suggestions, I may try to put some wax on a non absorbant suface and roll the cases. We'll see.....I'll post results if I find something that works. I may try the baggie method that was suggested.

Re: Still getting one flyer
I really don't like the thought of skinning out the necessary scratch for Norma or Luapua brass,.... what's your thoughts on Winchester? Do you think it will give me better results without having to go into measuring necks and everything that goes along with that? And you've probably hit the nail on...

Re: Still getting one flyer
rooster , I'm not necessarily recommending neck turning, especially for a factory chamber/barrel......just check your brass for neck thickness variations of more than about .0015" to .002" per side. If the neck varies that much, then the case body itself most likely does too, so the brass...

Re: Not a .204 but.....
It may favor 204 Ruger. But we sure discuss and cuss other calibers. One of my favorites is my old 25-06 Rem. It has been on many a hunt, over the years, from Alaska to most all the western states, west of the Miss river. Enjoy the site, and that is a fine group at 200 yrds.. Bill K :)[/quote] I rea...

Re: Case lube question.
Another option to try: Lube on pointer finger and thumb. Spin case between thumb and finger, start on neck and stop about a third of the way down from case shoulder. Don't need a bunch and won't have to clean dies as often. Too much lube creates a bunch of clean-up and may wrinkle shoulder. Too lit...
