The tollerances on the wrench are irrelevant to the issues I spoke to. I have used several wrenches, Not used McCree, but two built by mcME on the waterjet, and laser table.
When you get into the receivers from the bankruptcy years...WHEW they had some interesting things that past by the QC boys.

Re: 204 Ruger
I don't care for Hornady tipped bullets in the 204, as they seem to be VERY fast openers. So you may well have had a splash. Move to something else, been very happy with Sierra and Nosler for dropping coyotes. Leave the hornady's to popping pigeons. And mind you I shoot a TON of hornady bullets in j...

Re: Question about the new 1st edition Berger Manual??
Let me preface this by saying, I know... We all read "signs".. Unless you buy a Pressure Trace, you have no clue if your loads are high pressure or not. Cartridge Brass spec for Tensile strength is 70,000 PSI. So Until you reach that level, you wouldn't see undue stretching, etc. Reading b...

Re: Turning Savage .270 win into 6mm Rem
Yeah, as long as you have FACTORY new ammo, you can use those as guages. What you MAY need is a 800# Gorilla. Some of them are a Muh-scratcher to break the nut loose. I have had to cut several off with a dremel. And take your scope mounts OUT. Or you CAN bugger up the reciever threads when removing ...

Nosler BT's and Bergers are some of the more pricey bullets, if cheap is your game try No-Name-Noslers; Pronounced Varmint Nightmares from Midsouthshooterssupply.

Re: Finding 'that' load
As a little bit of clarity on the "Extreme" powders: ADI builds those extruded powders with a SPECIFIC cartridge/case in mind. Those properties are NOT a universal trait. In most instances, the "difference" is not statistically valid anyway. Take the 22-250, "Extreme" w...

Ammo test in a new Predator
So I bought a Predator over the holidays(actually found several in-stock, at standard Hawkeye prices!) While beginning to test reloads with CFE and 34gr Nosler VN hp's; I figured I would test against factory ammo. Back when the 204 was brand new I had a Savage. I found then that Hornady was HORRIBLY...

Re: Good hand load for a 243 Win
A place to start is in your reloading manual.
Since you didn't list a weight range, or intended use; no two guns are the same, don't just use a load you found on a board...

Re: CFE 223
I can confirm the use in the 243, and 308.
55-58gr in the 243 is stupid stable. 32-98 deg, show a 5-shot variance of 8-12fps.

Re: winchester brass
Albeit took him 2 posts to actually say, he wanted to know why Winny brass was "harder" than Nosler brass. Informing him and apparently you, about who actually builds what, with marketing goals(quality) didn't directly address the question??? I'm glad you know how to reload, and enjoy it. ...

Re: winchester brass
The point isn't to understand WHICH you should use, the point is understanding WHAT you are using. Winchester HAD a reputation for consistent brass, back when they made it. That is no longer the case, and they have had 2 different sources that I'm aware of, since the sale. They buy Least-Cost, and r...

Re: winchester brass
Yes, thank you for the link, now use it to call and have a conversation. Nosler buys brass with their name on it, from Norma, like I said. Winchester, who it seems can F*^k-up a wet dream, ALSO BUYS their branded products from others. Here is what you missed from the business section of the newspape...
