Re: Naming Contest
If we rename the site to Small Caliber Central we might want to loosely define "Small Caliber" as to Not be exclusive limiting growth potential. To some, a small caliber is anything with a diameter of .32 inches or less. That would exclude some popular rounds for handguns or shotguns, etc....

Re: New Forum Title?
I have old Marine Corps pics from way back. I don't see why we can't post old military pics. However posting newer, more detailed pics might have some type of restriction if deemed sensitive by the government. Might mean Moderators would have to review pics from time to time. Tarrin was nice enough ...

Re: Future of the forum
I'm in favor of breathing new life into the forum. Back in 2006 when I first joined, this forum was very robust. It was fun just too logon and see what had transpired overnight. If we expanded to include ALL centerfire cartridges less than .22 caliber that would open up all sorts of new ground and i...

Re: Christmas 2022
Once in a blue moon it snows here. This shot is from Feb 15, 2021. The last snow we had here. It did $20,000 worth of damage to my house. Old heaters just couldn't keep up any more. Had a pipe above the garage burst and there was a waterfall filling my boat. Oh what fun it is...

Re: New gun today.
Unless you have a custom ream job done by a professional you're probably not going to get anywhere near the lands. Having the bullet loaded somewhere in the neighborhood of half the bearing surface into the neck may provide enough neck tension. You're just going to have to try different seating dept...

Re: Double Stack 2011 Pistols
The Prodigy has a 4.25 in barrel whereas the Wilson has a 5 in barrel. Weight comparison: Prodigy 32.5, Wilson 38.9. I have a Kimber Ultra Carry and a Raptor II, Neither is a very good carry option. Like I said, I'm not in a hurry. Manufacturers are getting our message and turning out guns more like...

Re: Double Stack 2011 Pistols
Ok Rick, guilty! I'm guilty of wanting the Staccato but I want a compact I can carry. The Prodigy would be my second choice. There have been reports online that the Prodigy can exhibit issues related to returning to battery. I'm in no particular rush to decide. I have others to chose from or rotate ...

Re: Double Stack 2011 Pistols
I'm sure you meant "1911" in your title, The 2011 is a term that I have recently embraced and defines what a lot of people on the internet refer to as a 2011. It differentiates between a traditional 1911 and the newer 2011 modulars, The following was copied from several resources: What is...
