Re: Which gun oil?
I don't "oil" my barrel...once it has been "seasoned"...Sort of like a good cast iron frying pan.....the object of a good cleaning is to get all the crap out of the tube.....Once I get it as clean as I can what I do is to use a suspended colloidal in it....I use Lockeze....it com...

Re: cz527 kevlar vs walnut
Kevlar is actually made by McMillan...I have it on my 527 Varmint and its weather proof and take the occasional bump on a log or a rock in stride.....wood can warp and takes a bit more care...its all what you like...Will say my .204 shoots lights out

Re: Varmint 30-06??
Has anyone tried the "Accelerator" round that they made for the '06...? I remember reading about them but never tried them....they were like a sabot round for the larger calibers........Thanks.....Paul

Re: Do you think a 22 rimfire is a handicap with a good shoo
I remember something that was quoted to me many years ago......Goes something like this...."Fear the man that has only one gun...for he probably knows how to use it." I might be off a bit...but it makes the same point.....like golf....it isn't the arrow but rather the Indian........LOL

Re: Wasn't someone selling small patches here for .204?
Maybe I am missing something here......I have been using .22 cal patches in my .204....seems to work great..snug fit but not overly so.....no problems encountered....does a great job....they are only .02" larger that the bore or the .204........seems rather simple to me....but then I am a prett...

Re: Factory .204 offerings
Hi guy's thanks for all the great info in the reply's. Speed marketing make sense concerning the .204 and 1-12. I'm north of the border so we do have access to Tikka's Super Varmint. Weird though, as we usually miss out on any special offerings and our southern allies get all the goodies. Note sure...

Prarie Dogs protected
Did anyone else see the special on TV the other night about protected prairie dogs in a town in Utah...? They are actually undermining roads and buildings and even the cemetery....but there is an ordinance that had been passed protecting them......can't shoot them, trap them or even disturb them.......

Re: wipe out no lead
Moto Dog....Lock Eeze is a graphite colloidal solution...supposedly will bond to the steel inside your barrel....Have used it...seems to help keep the buildup down.....,,Just bought and started to use the "WIPE OUT"...amazing what came out of a "clean" barrel....I'm a believer.....
