Re: 10 mm
Jim, I'd have to agree with you to a point...I used to own seven Glocks and shot nine of the GSSF matches for several years...I have several .40s and 10mms and keep my brass separated by firearm, just for the reason you stated...I have a .40 Ed Brown match barrel in my Para Ord P16/40 LTD (also a 10...

Re: 223 rate of twist
... If you are running that much velocity out of an 8 twist barrel, I'm surprised that the bullets even held together....I went to a custom 1/14 barrel to push 40gr rounds at that speed and higher...I had max powder showing 3700 fps, but they heated up the barrel too much and were less accurate.

Re: AR reloading problem
Stonefly,,,You are most likely not bumping the case shoulder back far enough when sizing your brass...Set your die so that it touches the shell holder when the ram is fully up....Then turn the die down another 1/4 turn so that the press handle will "Cam Over" when pressure is applied...Mak...

Rick, I'm kind of jealous about you having a little snow....Momma Turtle and I went to FL for three months to escape the MO Winters and wound up with better weather in MO than in FL...Love those Coopers, but out of my budget...I'm sure that your new ride will create the same attachment as the red on...
Re: 10 mm
A few years ago, I picked up some of the "I Q Ammunition" before it was removed from normal sales... I wish some had been produced in 10mm...I have some in 9mm and .45acp...Supposedly it changes to accommodate the hardness of what it is impacting... Hard cover vs soft body tissue...As I un...

The Marion County Club website has two members for contact information...If you give them a call, you can probably find a source for the targets..

Re: The .204 Ruger in competition
I was glad to see this thread resurrected....Since the first post, I've moved and am now a member of the St Louis Benchrest Club and I've called one of the coordinators at Marion County and found out that the Varmint Matches are open to the public... I'm going to see if maybe I can find one or two o...

I have a 4.5-14x Leupold that barely clears...I've also thought about getting the bolt handle bent for just a little more clearance...My thumb keeps scraping the bell each time..

There is a small gun shop in Melbourne that usually has a large supply of various components...Worth a look/call if you will be down that way... http://www.spacecoastbullets.com/ When we were going through the primer shortage a couple of years ago and I was down there, they had a large selection... ...

Re: Projectile weight consistency
On larger caliber bullets, it may pay dividends.... but after trying it with 39gr SBKs and my fat fumble fingers, it's just not worth the effort... Maybe my OCD is diminishing with age....

Re: Sierra Blitzking Questions
GTOHunter,,, I'm not usually real picky about wording, but in your case...When you say "bullets" most of us think you are talking about the projectile that is fired from the barrel, as that is the term we use when reloading and it's a component...What you are actually trying to locate is t...

Re: Projectile weight consistency
Sorry guys, I didn't mean to start a major discussion other than to attempt to provide a legitimate/helpful answer to the original post...If you go back to my original post, "due to a high dollar Egg Shoot coming up," where I provided my initial reason for weighing this batch (1st prize is...

Good story... You must be overrun with Fox, I very seldom see one anymore around here, but then they may just have adapted to hiding very well.. In this state, we are not allowed to hunt with artificial lights, other than raccoons, most of our hunting has to be done before official sunset and after ...

Re: Projectile weight consistency
I recently picked up a bunch of 39gr Sierra BKs at the Factory Seconds Store and, due to a high dollar Egg Shoot coming up, weighed and sorted each of the approximately 850 bullets for uniformity and weight... I found only a handful that actually weighed exactly 39gr...Most were 39.2gr (possibly why...
