I am still using 4831 WW two surplus powder. Bought a hundred pound keg back in the 60s for fifty cents a pound. Can't tell any difference from when I got it. Only have about three pounds left.

I just got one in 204 a couple days ago. Shot it a little. Was getting horizontal spread. 27.6 grains of H4895 39 gr sierra. 3780 fps. About 3/4 inch groups. Hope it was from the wind. I always seat the bullets, then give the case a half turn and seat them again. That will cut down the run out.

Sorry for your bad luck on the Remington. I used to be a Rem man. Have had to much trouble with them lately. Bought a Rem sps in 204 for a truck gun. It wouldn't group. Returned it. My xr 100 in 204 is good. I have quite a few Savages that are good and Coopers.
