Re: Primer Problems?
As what futuretrades mentions - not clear enough picture to tell. Maybe a closer shot from a steeper angle would help? From what I can see though - Is there a raised section immediately around the firing pin dent? If so, then I might guess either the firing pin hole is out of shape or over size, or ...

Re: Fox Spotlighting
Had the same opp on my knee A few years ago. glad your surgery went well. make sure you stick to the leg excises as I didn't, Due to that factor my knee never really came right! I've been spending a fair bit of time on the tractor (heavy clutch) and doing a bit of fencing too, without too much trou...

Re: Fox Spotlighting
Nicely done, just one question. What speed was the Dueler projectile doing when it connected with the animal. :D :D :D :lol: About 30km/hr most of the time, but that's actually where I stopped. I was frantically rubbernecking and spinning the light to see where it ran off to, so I could continue th...

Re: "Short Barreled" 204 Results?
For the 26 & 35 - ADI Benchmark2
And 2206H Behind the 39
The Hodgdon and Alliant equivalents can be found on the ADI website.
I'm on my phone ATM and can't remember exactly, but I think (check yourself first to be sure) that:
BM2 = Benchmark
2206H = H4895

Re: "Short Barreled" 204 Results?
I have a 20" barrel. Here are some speeds for you:
26 VG - 4100
35 Berg - 3700
39 BK - 3650
I've never seen cratering in my primers during load tests, so could squeeze a little more out of it.
But above these speeds, loads gave me more felt recoil, more noise, and less fps gain/grain.

Re: Aussie rounds hit USA
Yes the .223 is very good for coyotes. I've seen quite a few killed with it. And some people use it for pronghorn antelope and deer. It's used for deer a lot in Texas. It wouldn't be my choice for big game but it is used for that by some. Bob Sorry Bob - but my point was Coyotes and "Outback A...

Re: Aussie rounds hit USA
Aussie outback label - for U.S. ?
If anyone else can see the method in their madness I'm willing to listen, but I reckon marketing had a bad day when this was designed.
The .223 round is suited to coyotes? - I'm yet to see one here

Re: Any idea,s how to purchase A COOPER
Would you mind letting me know the issue number Feb 2013 Seems the writer does most of the articles in this mag, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's pushed for time. I found the review quite boring actually, but read the whole article as I knew you were expecting one soon, and wanted to see what you...

Re: Depriming problem.
You'll need to put the little priming base (not sure of the proper term) in place. http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/DontwantaUsername/IMG_0434_zps592d1c4c.jpg This then acts as a slide to direct the spent primer to the hole. http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/DontwantaUsername/IMG_04...

Re: Any idea,s how to purchase A COOPER
Sounds like a good choice Geoff. I just read a review in Australian Sporting Shooter Mag. Very poorly written and edited. No load test results, and about 1 line on factory ammo results. Pity really, coz from what I did get out of the review, and a quick glance at Kimber's website, It sounds like a v...

Re: Fox Spotlighting
Stay safe, I heard the temps were gonna get into the 40's this week. Been in the 40's last week and about to soar again. Fires burning all over the country, but we've escaped them so far right here - though we had a couple big ones late last year. No driving around the paddock for now - hot exhaust...

Re: Under Down Under Ablaze
We've been lucky here. But there's been nothing but fire reports on the news since the weekend. Tasmanians are still trying to contain a couple of fires. One has taken more than 100 properties, but at this stage, no confirmed deaths. At least one big one has been threatening a town in Victoria's Wes...
