Re: Deburring Flashholes?

No worries Brad.
Guess I could've got one direct from you.
I'm annoyed about not being able to get your projectiles
Stupid laws. Nothing dangerous about a bit of copper and lead without explosives near it.

Re: Deburring Flashholes?

Can't vouch for Brad's FHDeburrer - tried to get hold of one but the supplier never bothered calling back (Australia). However, found KM tool from another OZ supplier and found it very easy to use.
As others have said, zeroes on the web and not case mouth, so deburrs and uniforms!!

Re: OOOps

When we were kids, one of my brothers took a hammer into our dad's reloading area and began smashing spent primers that had spilled on the concrete floor. Imagine our surprise when he found a live one. We weren't allowed to do that any more. Did something like that when I was about 8....

Re: OOOps

Oz Dan - if you set it off it's going to be loud, may cause small bits of flying debris and it's fire in your reloading area. Better to be safe than having someone else telling us a story about you. Soak it, remove it, it's only one primer. :duh: Sorry, that's what I meant by knocking it out - taki...

Re: what is the biggest thing

 SMOKIN!!! Proves how versatile this caliber is. I had no doubt a head shot at 100-200 yds would kill a deer, but almost 500?! Gives me much more confidence for the mission I'll be doing soon. On holiday in Tasmania at the moment, then passing through Kangaroo Island on our way home where I'm h...

Re: Whats ur setup!

7) Wilson (CH 4D) case trimmer for .204 (cuz Lee doesn't make it for .204) 8) Lee VLD chamfer tool I bought a 22-250 lee length gauge, put it in my drill, and held a file on it to bring it down to 20 cal :D Rough, but effective. Also got another gauge which came with the #4 shellholder to suit 204....

I'm a little wary of what may happen if I set it off. Have you had an incident through trying?

Steve - there is an introductions thread.
Go to main index, then 204 Ruger Forum (the general discussion section), then you'll find the "tell us about yourself" thread. It's always at the top of the list.
Welcome aboard mate

Re: Some smut!

Well said RAMOS
We can't go about life tiptoeing around everything that might offend, only hope that those offended will forgive when one's foot does get into one's mouth.
Bowshot - point taken, and understood - leave the smut to other websites - and stay on topic

Re: OOOps

Bow shot - I don't go so far as checking case wall thickness or neck concentricity but have started uniforming primer pockets and flash holes. All primer pockets were pretty much exactly SAMMI specs. The tool only removed carbon, and gave a little shine. Consistency of groups has been great with the...

Re: Forum keeping me sane

Plenty of foxes about the place if I go looking. Won't bother mounting this. Starting a pelt collection though. Young pup fur should come up nice! Problem is, this time of year (Summer down under) they're easier to find, but the fur is at it's prime in winter. Ah well, if I don't whack 'em, they're ...

Re: Some smut!

I think my post may be the "fornication with girlfriend" one you mentioned Bow shot. Sorry it offended you, and possibly others. Suggestions of this nature aren't usually taken with such humour when you're at sea and have no idea where you're better half is. However, I have total trust in ...

Re: Forum keeping me sane

I didn't have to wait long. They are young and dumb. (I'm guessing) same two foxes playing in the same spot when I got home last night. http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/DontwantaUsername/IMG_1030.jpg Same (what I'm now calling dodgy) batch of ammo that hit her leg, followed by another 4 mis...

OOOps

http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/DontwantaUsername/backtofrontprimer.jpg I use the Lee Auto-Prime and made sure all the primers were sitting right before I put the lid on, but one managed to do this. Anyone else wanna own up to doing this before? And how to get the little bugger out - safe...

Re: Forum keeping me sane

   Saw two foxes the next morning. One laying down, the other casually strolling around it. Drove my ute around to get a rest above the grass. They saw me and bolted. Same day, late arvo, went out to where I'd left the ute to sit and wait but spotted one walking across the paddock! No...
