Re: 17 & 20 Caliber Nosler Varmageddon Bullet Sale

Bazz - there's a lot if discussion about importing on shooting.com.au Most of the problems seem to be getting the export license. Customs here don't have many issues so long as the right forms are filed, but getting things out of the states is the big problem. And with prices so cheap, who can blame...

Re: Advice need please....

I would start by using the same projectile as in the factory loads and seat them at the same length. This combo is working for you already so all you need is to match the speed of the factory rounds and hopefully you've got your winning combo. You'll need a chrony for this of course. If you manage t...

Re: Win PP40

I'm very limited for choice by my LGS so might have to wait until I do a car trip to Adelaide and get some more trial boxes. Can't do any testing now anyway - at sea for a while.

Re: Ruger 77/17 Hornet

Don - Some useful info on working the LC6 trigger: http://www.centerfirecentral.com/77trigger.html http://www.centerfirecentral.com/images/trigger.gif My trigger was way too heavy, so I decided I was prepared to buy a drop in replacement. But when I found this article, I figured it was worth a try f...

Re: Win PP40

Thanks Bazz. At least I know it's not just me.
I sent Winchester an email when I started this thread, but no reply yet. I'll fill you in on any info they give me.
Might be time to try some different ammo. The T22's work alright

As far as I know, there's just the 40's and 42's. On their website they state that the 40's which go to the states are exactly the same, just a different box.

Win PP40

Has anyone run into any issues with the new boxes of Winchester Power-point .22? We used to get it in an orange box http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/DontwantaUsername/Old.jpg and found it shot very well. But the new black box http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff422/DontwantaUsername/New.j...

Bill - Off topic, but I know a guy that was once fairly fit and energetic. Parkinsons sent him on a rapid downhill slide. The shakes were uncontrollable and he had trouble holding a conversation. He had surgery - they actually cut his skull, attached some electronic gizmo, tuned it in, and the shake...

That's awesome.
What sounds do you use?
Can you put the extra foxes down to more time in the field because of the new toy? Or is the caller actually more effective?

Great story Geno. Nice pics too (except the last one)
I can see why people pay to travel to your part of the world.
A mate of mine went a few years back and brought back a few trophies. Can't tell you what they were though. He would've told me, but their names escape me now.
