TC Venture owners

Just wondering what you guys thought of your Ventures. Did some searches and most are good reviews. My son seems to have taken over another one my rifles, this time my CZ 204. So I'm in the market for a carry gun in 223. Was thinking of getting a Tikka T3 Lite until our local gun shop started runnin...

Re: WTB CZ 527 action

Thanks, but was hoping someone might have a shot out or neglected one they might make me a good deal on. The barrels are new take offs that would only cost me the price of installing it. I would hate to take a gun like yours apart to really not gain anything but a different caliber. Didn't really fi...

WTB CZ 527 action

Don't figure there is much chance, but I found someone who has several CZ 527 take off barrels.
If anyone has an old action they would part with, let me know.

Re: Bipods

That varmint stake looks pretty slick, thanks Rick. I like my Harris adjustable for groundhog hunting, but like sticks for coyotes
Saw this posted on another board and have made a few of these in different lengths. Work pretty good and only a couple $.

Re: Ruger Hawkeye or CZ 527 American.

My choice would be the CZ527

I don't have a lot of experience with either one, but have owned a couple of each. The CZ527s I have are the most accurate out of the box rifles I own (204 Ruger and 22 Hornet)

Re: Good hand load for a 243 Win

I've done quite a bit of loading with 55 to 70 grain bullets in my 243
I Have had very good luck with IMR4350, 4064 and 4895. 4895 produced the best groups.
My old Winchester seems to like a grain under published max with most load combinations.

Powder Valley shows they have Nosler 135 and 180gr in stock.

This shortage is unbelievable.

You'll love it! I have one in a 22 Hornet and one in a 204 Ruger. Both are amazingly accurate for such light weight factory rifles

Re: Nikon Monarch scopes

I have a Buckmaster 4.5 - 14 on a deer rifle that a really like. Because of it a bought a 4-16 Monarch for one of my varmint rifles. Honestly I was a little disappointed. The buckmaster glass seems to be about as good and the Monarch has more tunnel vision than I like, even on 4x.

I assume you going this spring? No orange is required in the spring and it's shotgun only. It was required to wear an orange hat in the past. I still do when walking in and out. What area are you hunting? Rifles are only allowed in the fall. Not sure what the 204 would do on one. Not too many use ri...
