Re: BATF finally did something rite…

For the record, it's been TWO Federal agents, Brian Terry and the guy who was killed in Mexico, while unarmed at the behest of the Mexican Gov't.

Re: The 4000FPS barrier Ruger 204

Quick question, how fast is Hornady 32gr. FACTORY ammo going in your rifle? If you can duplicate that speed, you are doing about as well as you can expect, SAFELY. I've got a nominally 22" barrel in a CZ American that only does 3950fps with factory Hornady ammo, and my very accurate ammo does a...

Re: Browning .204

I think yes, it's a Micro-sized action, so if you can get Warne to swap out, it would be a good thing. I've seen the Shot Show Specials at a shop downstate, but none here locally. That's nothing new, though, Browning rifles just don't sell well in this area, for reasons unknown. This is a Ruger/Remi...

Re: What Brass?

I may be one of the guys from saubier, who hates Remington brass. Not in .204, I haven't used enough of it to form an opinion on the stuff, but in .221 Fireball, it's a crapfest. The last bag of .221 brass I bought, 100 cases, were loaded up with a standard, "book" load that I've used for ...

Re: Favorite Loads

Just a gentle reminder to all. Always start low and work into loads. Never use a maximum load if a milder load will do the job as well. Keep in mind the temperatures you'll be using the load in, and plan for that. It can get awfully warm in a PD patch, and if you're using a stout load, dev...

Re: lightweight .204s?

I can generally see hits from a stock CZ 527 American, with a 3-9 scope, at least on a coyote, I can. It weighs under eight pounds, all up, maybe a good deal less than 8, I've never scaled it.

Re: Pretty funny!

I spend a lot (too danged much  ) time over on missouriwhitetails.com, and I've proselytized quite a bit over there. To date, a lot of folks over there have been buying and trying new .204s, callaojoe, Big Bullseye, and a couple others are now posters here, too. With more new buyers eve...

Re: cz 527 feeding problem

It might help to load your magazines and leave them loaded for awhile. The magazine springs are pretty stiff in the 527s, and that helped with both of mine.

I had a tortoiseshell calico hanging around for 18 years, they are about as good as a cat gets. The rifle is okay, too

Ruger's new 1911 is on it's way

Why not? They've done the castings for Caspian Arms for a very long time, and there are a lot of other cast 1911s out there, too.

Re: Newbie asking Glen Asher about 2230-c & ww748

Sorry for the late reply, I've had some computer issues lately. I'm currently running 27.3 AA-2230-C with the 34 Dogtowns/Midsouth/Nosler bullets. It's not a one-holer, but it kills PDs and stuff with satisfaction, from my Savage. I normally run Fed. 205Ms in Winchester cases. I've never chro...

Re: Any Tikka fans out there?

I doubt anyone here has any issues with the rifles themselves, but the distribution is very spotty, when they are available at all. Tikka/Sako/Beretta just don't supply enough .204s to bother with here. I talked to them at the NRA Convention in 2008, but they more or less blew me off. They weren't i...

He's an awful good sport about it all, too. He has to be...........
