Re: New to the .204 Ruger.

If you get the chance, shoot Todd's 6 br LRPV, and then see what you think about those Savages. Or Leo's LRPV in .204, or heck, just any LRPV...........That's one heckuva rifle, and it should be............

Re: lets see them groundhog guns!

While I've got heavy-barrelled guns for pdoggin', groundhoggin' locally doesn't require many shots, so I stick with sporter weight guns, around here, it's usually close range and quick. CZ455 .17 HMR Marlin 17V .17HMR CZ 527 .22 Hornet CZ 527 .221 Fireball CZ 527 .204 Ruger I won't post pics, everyo...

Re: New to the .204 Ruger.

See, I told you they don't bite over here. :) If you're nice, we'll let you hang around awhile. Even if you DO shoot a Remington and a Cooper, we'll forgive you anyway, and let you loaf around with us. This is a pretty mellow place, most of the time. If you have questions, and you will, ask h...

Re: CZ 527 American

The stock on my .204 looks like it came off Ruger's woodpile, the BLAND pile, at that :D Real straight-grained, but not too awful. I like it. They are mighty good little packin' around rifles. Here, we carry 'em a LOT more than we shoot 'em, so the light weight is a good thing. If yours is like mine...

Re: Leupold 3X long tubes are coming back into production

It was confirmed at the SHOT Show, according to the poster on 24hour, at the link provided. It's supposed to be a "Custom Shop Only" item at the present time, and that was supposedly entered on the Leupold website this week. He called his contact several times about this, he is hungry, app...

Re: Any gun smiths need help

Savage will be making the M25 available in 5.7x28 this year, along with some other little bitty stuff, according to a post or two I've seen on them. The M25 is a repeater, too, if that matters any. It's somewhat similar to the M40 Hornet, but it's available in several variations. I looked at that ca...

Leupold 3X long tubes are coming back into production

http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/4840925/Leupold_long_tube_3x#Post4840925 This won't interest a lot of folks here, but the old long-tube 3X is one of those scopes Leupold mistakenly quit making a while back. It's the real deal for boomer shooters and Ruger #1 fans, as i...

Re: Loading for Accuracy Vs. Velocity

Let me put it another way. If I can shoot a 0.6 inch group with factory ammo, how much can I really gain unless the velocity of the factory load is matched? :?: Let me ask you this, does it matter how fast your load is going, if you miss what you're shooting at? Accuracy should remain paramount, tr...

Re: New 22 RF semi auto.... Problems?

Does it bulge cases with all brands of ammo, or just what you were using? If it's not a major bulge, it's probably okay to use it, since you can't reload those cases anyway, but I'd want SOME margin of safety, and it sounds like you're concerned. If it's doing that will all brands of ammo, I'd send ...

Interesting Knox Report about ATF, and Mexico.

I found this on another forum, but as it pertains to BATFE, it's worth reading carefully. I don't know if the facts will ever come out, so it's just for perusal and comment. I 'THINK' it;s legit, but I sure can't corroborate it. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This from ...

Re: New look for 204 Ruger

I had "issues" with the old server, I couldn't hit the back button and come back to the forums, I'd have to "refresh" and maybe! get back to what I was reading, maybe.

This new server is pretty danged sweet!

Re: Finally got .204RF

I am anxious to see if the CZ 455 will be "adapted" to the 5mm. It seems like a natural, the barrels already interchange with just some minor wrenching involved, and it shouldn't be a big deal to make a magazine fit, since the magwell is "adaptable" as well. The only hangup I can...

Re: Sako Quad Consistency

Not quite in the same league are your Sako, but I just picked up a new CZ 455 switchbarrel gun, in .22LR and .17HMR. It looks pretty simple to swap barrels, but I haven't done so yet. .22 WMR barrels are also available (but I have a .22 Hornet, so I probably won't buy one). I presume they were made ...

Re: Citibank Refuses to Issue Credit to Gun Parts Makers

I am thinking that they are no better then ebay, Paypal or Meg Whitman, who's ruined ebay and is now running for governor of CA. There ARE other banks without the "social conscience" of such nonsense, and I'd advise them to look into other venues for their credit line. I dunno that Whitman...

Then we almost missed the plane, but didn't...... because it's easy to get lost in Vegas, and the street maps are purposely obfuscatory (that's my story, anyway  ) Oh yeah, you guys like pics. Well, I'm tired, so if you want 'em go get 'em...... http://public.fotki.com/40217/ut-az-nv-trip-2010...
