im ollie, from tidworth. 10x 24.7 with 39 bks is awsome mate, you want to play with the length tho. im useing nosler custom cases, ss 24inch barrel :D you going to re barrel it then? tony notts, i wanted it at 22" rfd left it at mine i realised the length later which is 18" so not happy b...

yes its cheap, i was sold a rifle with what i thought was a 22" barrel as thats what in had asked for, and thats what they come as standard from the factory. i really did not check the the length of barrel, i did ask again if it was 22" and he reply yes. well when he left i keeped loooking...

the barrel is a new take off , and it would be going on my howa.204. yes threads will have to be cut the barrel is 24" long at the min so he will cut the back and re do to fit my action and over all length would be 22" all i was wondering is if savage put good barreels on the rifles and it...

savage barrel

i have been offered a savage barrel for my .204, as the one i have is 18", and the one i have been offered is a 22" off of a savage
are there barrels any good?

there was only two bits of brass, that where ok after that, the rest the primer pockets were wide open.
i scrapped all the brass, crimped it and thrown it in the bin

Welcome Tony.Haven't loaded that powder,but you could use a primer with a harder cup like CCI or Rem 71/2s.we sure would like pictures from he UK hunting. they were cci , the rem 7/12 did not flatten at 27.0 though, but when the 27.5, with the cci went bang, i thought dont push my luck. the rem def...

well i have already found out that 27.5grs of h335 with a 39gr sbk, is to much for my rifle as it blew a hole through the primer it showed pressure at 26.5, with a little bit of cratoring but, i wanted to see when it would flaten the primer. well it flatened the primer at 27.0 grs but i could not se...

just to say hello, i am glad i found this forum, as i have brought a .204 howa, and i have just started to reload for it.
i have been reading all, or as much info on here as poss.
really hope too learn more from you guys.
