Another converted 204 lover!

A guy I know is out looking for a CZ 527 right now. I keep giving him links to this site. He actually has his wife with him out looking too! I see another new member in the future!

That might be pretty fun. Us eastern guys might have the benefit of much less wind doping. My range is cut out in the middle of a woodlot.

Re: Optic Power Hogs

I have a Mueller 8.5x25x50 on my 17HMR. For the money, it's awesome. It won't compare to an $800 scope though.

Re: Bushnell vs Leupold vs Nikon

I have Bushnells, Leupolds, Muellers, etc also. But I found up getting a good deal on a Sightron SII from LockStock and was very pleased with the glass. http://www.lockstock.com/departments.asp?dept=390

No problem here. Try Firefox as a browser. It's much faster and stable than IE. It'll keep track of your passwords for you also. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/
I also use Thunderbird for email.

Re: Factory load for .204 VLS

My VSSF II loves the Federal V-Shok with the 39gr BK's. I had a hard time getting handloads to beat it.

Re: fastest ?

Ah yes, the 223 WSSM. I had forgotten about that one....a real blunder by Winchester, and a failed marketing ploy. From the knowledgeable shooters I know who have any experience with this turkey, it is also Numero Uno Barrel Burner with an estimated barrel life UNDER 1,000 rounds. Too much powder f...

Re: So far this deer season

I hunted muleys in Wyoming last year and we had the last hunt which was the end of October. The rut hadn't even started. Here in Michigan, there is a youth hunt in late September, bow opens Oct 1, Firearm opens Nov.15, back to bow until Jan1, and black powder is a 10 day hunt in December which is st...

Good story. I'm grabbing my bow for a few days before blackpowder season opens on the 12th up here. I still am finding active scrapes! :D

Re: fastest ?

Wasn't that a problem with all the WSSM? Short barrel life? I see the military is starting to use the 300WSM for a sniper cartridge now.
