Re: Remington model 700 VL SS or Savage model 12 BTCSS Varmint
My bud has the Savage in 22-250 and MAN it's a heavy gun! It's a shooter but I wouldn't want to carry it in the field. I like my trigger on my VSSF II.

Re: Another converted 204 lover!
My trigger is not bad at all from the factory. That being said I have not shot live rounds yet. Looks easy to adjust if need be. I picked up a box of the Hornady 45gr SP last night, kinda interested to see how they group. C'mon scope........ Get here already..... :wall: I'm curious how those heavy ...

Re: Remington 700 Aftermarket Trigger?
Before you spend the money on a aftermarket trigger, take yours to a gunsmith and have the factory trigger lightened as much as possible. I had mine worked on and it breaks crisp at 2 1/4 pounds. It cost me $25.

Re: 2008 whitetail season with 204!
We can't use a .204 here in Michigan. It has to be a .22 or larger. My buddy uses his 22-250. He usually does the double lung shot and they act just like they've been hit by a bow. Hey Medic, here we can take up to 7 deer depending what part of the state we're hunting. Brian - Actually we can use t...

I do the same thing. I've seen too many new cases that were bent, dented, or whatever.OldTurtle wrote: I take my new brass through the full reloading cycle so all brass is prepped and ready for charging and seating as I need them... without having to worry about their consistency.

Rick, I personally like seeing the deer slam to the ground. I use either a 300WSM or my muzzleloader. Both do the chore splendidly!

Fireball- How many rounds have you put down the tube? My Remmy didn't start grouping until I got 80 or so through it. Believe me, I was about to take the gun back! It just has to be broken in a bit.

I've had good luck with RE-10X. Very consistant. You can't go wrong with those Sierras.
