8.5x25 might be a bit much for coyote hunting. I have 2 Muellers myself and wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

Sorry to hear that. I had very good luck with my 700 VSSF II. Mine had the heavy barrel with the H&S stock though. The Hogue stocks also have a little flex in them. Probably not as bad as your describing with the Remington. Maybe bedding the stock will help.

I'm with muley. I'd bet it's a 1in12 twist. Most of them are.

Wiiings- I don't think a bullet is actually making a air tight seal as it goes down the bore. Now MAYBE, a bullet in a sabot is air tight. But I even doubt that. The air space in the groove of the rifling will allow air through. If I were to use this product, it wouldn't so much to resurrect an old ...
