What bad things have you heard about the Remingtons? I have a VSSF II and absolutely love it.

Good point about buying the 8#ers. I'm using RE10X right now. Being it's a fairly new powder, you'd think they may play with the formula a bit. I'm running lower than I thought and I have 200 new 39gr SBK's and brass coming tomorrow from Midway.

I know the powder manufacturers say to start with a minimum load when using a different lot of powder, even if it's the same powder, and work up to a load. BUT, has anyone seen differences between Lots? How unsafe is it to just jump in and cook up a batch of your favorite load with a new lot?

I use Shooter Ridge 6-9" and have Stony Point sticks for anything higher than that.

Boy you said a mouthful there! That has to go for every caliber though. And even when you get into archery. Human nature, you're gonna brag up what you know. It's just a matter of knowing how much to brag.

Another issue I had, I did a bonehead thing. When I put Loctite on the screws for the scope bases, I put a tad too much on, and I got a small layer between the base and the reciever. I was having dual POI's. Took me a while to figure it out. All's well now.
