Thanks Rick, I would certainly appreciate feedback from the man that knows these benches better than anyone else.

Re: Portable shooting benches

You'll all be glad to hear that there will very soon be a new version of my BR Pivot available from Midway USA. I sold my patent to them, and they are bringing out three models this month. Congratulations on the sale, Rick. Will the new benches be nearly identical to what you have produced, or will...

No worries! Every single one of us makes mistakes, so I can't see a reason to dogpile on you. Happy shooting!

Re: Trying to decide on what .204 is the best

I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on who has the best out of the box rifle. You'll have to define "best" because that's a very subjective term. I'll give you my 2 cents and hopefully that will help. I've handled a lot of factory rifles from Remington, Browning, Winchester, Savage, ...

What did you ever come up with? Hope this'll give you an idea. Don Don, that's a nice looking bench! To be honest, I haven't done anything yet. After my prairie dog hunt, I decided that I would get some sort of pivoting bench when the time is right. I'm not sure if I'll make one or buy one, but tha...

. I think there has to be some disstinction to help out those who don't "roll their own". I do reload so I think I'm being impartial by saying so. I think what we will see is the top five in all catergories will be handloaders. You will also see very few people who shoot factory ammo ente...

Re: Classes

BUT, in reality i think the odds of someone on here having a custom rifle and NOT reloading is perty slim, so we could do away with that class and just have three class's, would have to wait and see the entry's. I'm sure that I'm in the minority, but I would fall into the Modified Rifle/Factory Amm...

I sincerely hope we don't go down this road again. Experience has taught me (and hopefully many others) that the discussion will end badly. :(

Re: My tropical .416 Rigby

I have been playing with my new in March #1 Tropical .416 Rigby and must say it is a blast to shoot. Literally or figuratively? In all seriousness, what does it feel like to sit behind the .416 when you touch a round off? I envision more of a hard "push" than a sharp "whack&quo...

That is a nice looking rifle! I didn't even know that model existed (can't find it on the Savage web site). I'd love that stock mounted to a LRPV action and barrel.
