Re: New 204?
It's certainly an interesting looking piece. Not my cup of tea, but I am sure that it will drive tacks. I put one of Volquartsen's snake-fluted barrels on my 10/22 build and have been very pleased with the results.

With all due respect, comments like this do absolutely nothing to help a potentially troubling situation for gun owners.LeeC wrote:I heard a rumor the name of the White House to the Crack House.

Beautiful rifle, Rick. Looking forward to a review after you get to spend some time on the range.

Re: new stock & new toy (pics)
It is a Richards stock in camo laminated. It was rougher than I expected, needed lots of work to shape & sand . Expect to spend a lot of quality time working one one . I had fun doing mine. I recently finished one of Richard's TacDriver stocks for my 10/22. Like you said, it took some time to g...

Re: Successful 2008 Illinois Deer Hunt (long story w/ pics)
Thanks for sharing your hunting story. I didn't realize that in Illinois you could shoot multiple bucks? In Missouri, you can harvest up to one buck (one tag can be used for a buck or doe) and all other tags that you purchase (can buy as many as you want in most parts of the state) are antlerless on...

Easy, buddy. It doesn't make a bit of sense to post a classified ad without telling people what you're selling, and acloco was trying to help you out by getting that info here in the thread.savagelrpv wrote:Why do yiu think I put my email down.
Best of luck with your sale.

When you figure that out, let me know! I wish that we had prairie dog populations closer to home so that I could shoot them more frequently.

Hey Greg, you're a local!
Where did you go in South Dakota? Last year I went with some friends to Wyoming and had a great time shooting prairie poodles.

Re: Kimber Custom Covert II
Danny, Like you, I went out and looked at a Raptor the other day. What a beautiful gun! I was hoping to buy one at Bass Pro here in Springfield, but was informed that they dropped the Kimber line a couple of months ago. What a HUGE disappointment to me!! A local shop had the Raptor on hand, so I got...

Sub,
Are you doing anything to these Howa rifles, aside from the trigger swap that you mentioned? I don't doubt that Howa makes a good rifle, but I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the idea that a stock Howa is going to consistently shoot sub-1/4" groups.

Re: Help me choose a rifle in .204
Given those three choices, I'd definitely opt for the Sako. It's a significant step above the other two, IMHO. The purchase price will only hurt once, while the smile on your face will be there every time you pick up the rifle. If I were to cheat and veer off your list, I'd recommend giving a Cooper...

That's 3/4 of the battle, right there. I'm sure that the other 1/4 will be overcome easily.Keith in Ga wrote:Oh well, I tried.
